plato wrote some rot about the nine circles of atlantis (that the city state, was split into nine circles, each of which serving a differant function (the -suposedly- horse mounted army occupying the ninth level, farms, and other such buildings in the eigth etc etc) which has obiously lead to claims that atlntis is also hell (dante's inferno detailing the nine circular levels of hell)
but frankly the only thing they had in common, is that theyre dellusions of a fruit loop.

Atlantis is always thought to be a reference to the Mionians that were demolished by a flood (though time periods don't match up), I always imagined it off the coast of Spain somewhere...

Ach Christopher, you are totally right. I myself knew that but it slipped my mind. And its not in Spain, the Mionians were a ancient Greek civilisation living on Minos.. where exactly it is in the mediterranean I forget.

I meant those two as seperate sentances

Minos is now Crete.
