The score between England and Portugal at the moment is:
England 1 Portugal 0
By the way Michael Owen scored England's goal.

Rooney is off already. Twisted Ankle.

We're playing well aren't we? (England I mean) Vassel has GOT TO score!

I was saying.....?! Cambell's the only player worthy of praise in the second half. Bloody "Calamity James" strikes again....he needs shooting!

And it going into penalties.
I can't watch.

I can watch, but I'm not because I don't want to.
I'd like Portugal to win, obviously.

Ahh, my bet is coming true. Going to a draw, penalties, then England pulling through, just.
The ref sucks though.

And Portugal win 6 to 5 on penalties though it could gone either way.

*tries to prevent breaking the swear filter multiple times*
The referee is a nutcase, an idiot, a moron.
The disallowed goal was stupid!
If it was a free kick, why didn't they take it?
If the earlier free kick was incorrect, why didn't they retake it
And if the goal was just ''non-existant'', then why did they play on after it crossed the bass line, its a free kick!!!
To quote the BBC team: "It's like we were playing against 12 players, and one of them swiss!"
And don't get me started on David James
Though, the portugese played well, and deserved to go through, it should have been 2-1 at full time.

What annoyed me the most was the state of the penalty spot. You can tell that was a problem due the fact both teams were stomping down on the penalty spot after Beckham missed his penalty.

If that annoyed you, I doubt you watched the rest of the match
Honestly, the state of the penalty spot was not a major disadvantage, both teams had to cope with it.
And the fact that every

ing decision went to the

ing Portugese. Portugese dived, they get a free kick. English dived, just play on. Wooney was fouled, so the logical thing is, of course, give Portugal a free kick!!
What a

ing

It was a travesty, pure and simple. There was a hint on one or two websites before the start of the competition that this tournament may be fixed. There was even a show about it on British TV. First the Danes and the Swedes draw 2-2, the only score that would have got both teams through and put Italy out, and then this blatant refereeing nightmare tonight.
As an Englishman, I feel robbed. That referee should be stopped from refereeing any other games of any importance, ever.
On balance of play tonight, the best team did in fact go through. The minute Rooney went off, it was like we were a man down. Add to that the twelfth Portuguese player in the black shirt and there really wasn't much hope for us. Good game for Campbell, Cole and James. Nice to see Owen get a goal, even if it was for nothing. They did well to come back from that, but you have to say they brought in on themselves. Defendgin that deep for that long will only cause you trouble and it proved tonight.
