These are so weird it is almost funny. Before this article I had never heard of a strangelet. I still don't know what it is. It sounds like something Dr. Sloth would use.

The most interesting idea is the idea of a Neumann machine eating the earth. A Neumann machine is one robot that a person makes. This robot is uses the substances found on the earth to make another robot like itself. I don't know how long it would take for the one robot to make another robot. But it would have to find the ores and smelt them into parts and wire them up to move. But I guess it is possible. Once you have two robots, they each in turn make another robot, and it just keeps going until you have no earth left in order to make robots out of. So in the end I guess you just have a pile of useless matter and a pile of robots. Maybe the robots would start ripping each other up after that. Or maybe you'd end up with one gigantic Von Neumann robot hurling through space. Maybe it would eventually eat the whole universe. What a way to go!

Destroy the earth means just that, not simply scarring the surface, not even wiping out all life (Though Nuclear wouldn't do that anyway) But annihilating all life, tearing the planet apart atom by Constituent atom and then scattering them to the celestial winds, and maybe blowing up the dust a bit too for good measure.

It is not enough to scar.
One must tear it apart and make sure no one ever remebers the name Terra again.

Oh man, i've seen this before. my personal faourite is the one where you just sit there and wait for everything to cease to exist, since i'm a lazy guy.

I thought this was one of those 'suggest a way to destroy Earth' threads, and I was about to post using anti-matter (inspired by Angels and Demons by Dan Brown). Imagine my surprise when I found it on the site.

I also guessed it would appear when I got to the black hole one. But as always, I thought my guesses were wrong. And this time, it isn't!

Maybe I have psychic powers.

How about placing atomic bombs inside every volcano on Earth and then activating them all at the exact same time?

I'm pretty sure that would break the Earth into pieces which would in turn cause it to lose its orbit around the sun, sending it into a downward plunge into infinity with the moon trailing right along.

And the best part is that it's all possible right now. No 200 billion-trillion years of waiting for it to spontaneously implode and/or disappear either.

Well if it didn't work for Xenu, I doubt it'll work for us.

I remember another site like that, and it had tonnes of ways to destroy Humanity, one of which was that the internet shall take over our minds and turn us into Borg.

That whole "Incident II" story doesn't make the least bit of sense. Why would a galactic ruler want to place billions of people around a volcano and blow them up. Which brings me to a gaping hole in the story...

If these billions of people were blown up by hydrogen bombs, what "living" bodies did the spirits of the dead possess? There would be no survivers since Xenu blew them up and hence no Wall of Fire syndrome or whatever Hubbard and his lackies want to call it.

However, I guess that's beside the point.

Firstly, Xenu used hydrogen bombs, not atomic bombs, which is exactly what I would in fact use. Secondly, Xenu didn't place said hydrogen bombs inside the aforementioned volcanoes so you really can't use that analogy as proof my master plan to annihilate Earth and all the pathetic life on it will fail.

Just for the record, I'm not a scientologist. I just find them funny.

Second of all, You couldn't destroy the Earth with Nukes into Volcanoes. They would melt before they got to the core. But it would still be pretty funny to see all of the Volcvanoes of the world blowing up in harmony. And then terrifying as we run for our lives before we become 'Pompeii II: This Time It's Nuketacular!'

You wouldn't have to get the bombs to the core, just far enough down so that the explosion would crack the Earth all around it. Plus, there are plenty of inactive volcanoes which a person could place an atomic bomb relatively far down.

But, as a fail-safe, you would of course also want to place nuclear bombs all around the proximity of each volcano as well to blast the cracks open even further.

i know destruction is fun and all, but shouldn't we be figuring out ways to prevent the destruction?

Its not an Atomic bomb.
It's Nuclear. Nuclear!
TNT - Atomic.
So chucking TNT into a volcanoe wont do sqaut.
Nor would bumping in a load of Nukes so it's a moot point anyway.

Nuclear bombs and atomic bombs are the exact same thing, and the Wikipedia will back me up on that. Besides, I also referred to them as nuclear bombs, not just atomic bombs.

Secondly, TNT is trinitrotoluene which is a crystalline aromatic hydrocarbon compound. I've never heard anyone refer to TNT as atomic. If it was Mount Rushmore would be radioactive!

Thirdly, hydrogen bombs are another type a nuclear weapon and that's the joke!
