To date, what is your best moment in life that wins hands down? Or... it could be an extremely memorable one.

Hold onto your seats people... the SL is back.

Oh, that's easy. The birth of my daughter. Nothing can compare. I was so tired (23 hours of back labor), hurting like hell, and yet just so exhilarated when the nurse put her in my arms. The nurse took pics of me at the time. She said I was glowing. I can't even begin to describe the feeling I had at the time. I only wish the feeling on everyone because it was magical. It was like she and I were in this secret club that no one else would ever have access to. I guess it's a Mom thing.

That makes me want to cry.

Best moment in my life? Getting my dog. He was so special to me for 10 years. And I miss him. No dog in my life will ever compare to Luke. (And I won't fall into the habbit of saying he was the "best" dog ever, because he was the best dog for me, but that he doesn't mean he'd be the best dog for you). He was just so special, and for his entire life he thought I was his mom. My mother (after i'd moved away for Uni) could put me on the phone with him and afterwards he'd go searching the house for me. And he was so handsome. And smart. Ahh... Luke.

It's definitely not the best moment in my life, but my high school graduation was a very good moment. I knew I was sitting through my last motivational speech from the principal, and there were a lot of people from school I never wanted to to see again by that point. It was also a very depressing time, because my friend's visitation was literally right after that, but I was glad to know that no one would ever force me to go back to a place where even my friends didn't like me too much. Maybe I just call graduation a good moment because that was when life stopped being one bad moment after another.

Hm, I don't have any amazingly memorable moments in my life as yet... I haven't experienced much of the big events such as birth, death, marriage, etc (for better or worse!). Yours is very sweet, Morningstar. It sounds beautiful (though... tiring!).

One memorable moment for me was last year when I arrived at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, after navigating myself around the city for half a day. It was the first time I was completely alone in a foreign* big city (a non-English-speaking one at that, though I'm sure the majority of Berliners probably speak a bit of English), so I felt kinda proud :)

(* I've been around Sydney and Melbourne by myself before, but it's not quite the same at all :P)

What's your memorablest moment, Kym? I'm guessing you might have one in mind, since you started the topic! :D

Well, I am a teensy bit older than most of the people here. :) I just hope that some of you will be able to experience the same feelings I did. The nurse I had was just the best. Not only did she listen and help me through my pain (I have a weird backbone and my husband was useless at the end--she was the one grabbing my hand and yelling push), but she grabbed my husband's camera and took pictures of the birth. As it was happening. Seconds apart. Discreet (no private parts shown), but close enough to go wow, that is just amazing.

Inrun, I know what you mean. The relationship with my German Shepherd, Flash, would definitely be my second best moment. She was my former boyfriend's dog and hated me at first (would toss my shoes up in the air as if saying get the heck out of here). And, at the time, I was terrified of Shepherds. Bad experience as a kid. But, in time, we ended up falling in love with each other. I think I got her to love me by sneaking her 1/2 of my ham sandwiches from time to time and taking her for long walks every day. 8 years later, I held her in my arms when she had to be put to sleep due to a massive stroke. Sad. Gosh, she was the best dog I ever had. The two knuckleheads I have now are sweet, but just can't compare. She was truly a lady. 16 years later, I still miss the heck out of her.

When I was five, I came home from kindergarden. My daddy sat on the couch and watched Sesame Street with me, then got up, went to the kitchen, brought me cookies, and then sat down again. After Sesame Street was over, we played Monopoly.

The most memorable and representative moment of my life would have to be the time I shut down a lane of a major road for half an hour to help a snapping turtle cross the street. Keep in mind, I was already running late.

I'd have to go with.. when I recieved my Championship for Junior Handling. I show my lovely Airedale Terriers (like on TV :o) and there's a class where the handlers are judged (only if you're under 18 years old). When I won that final time, it was at a terrier specialty show so there was around 50 other kids in the ring with me, and I won. I was elated! I wish I never stopped showing :( I stopped almost 3 and a half years ago, when I was 14. Oh well, at least I have pictures, ribbons and memories (and my puppies!! :D)

The one that sticks out in my mind, is landing back in England on my first day home from Cyprus. It was the worst holiday I had ever been on, and 3 weeks of dying to go home made me love home so much more once I landed. We got Mcdonalds on the way back to my house, and pulling up to my drive put the hugest smile on my face. I then went to bed, my own bed :)

My favorite one has got to be the Boston trip last year. I got to spend time with all of the upperclassmen.

Not only did I love finally visiting Boston, but I loved being able to spend one last summer with everyone. It was sad when the end of the year came around and the Seniors left. I really wish I could've spent more time with them.

Sledding at my friend Michelle's house. It was cold and wet and uncomfortable, but I was with my very good friends, and we hung out for around six hours, being cold and uncomfortable together. And we all got on a tiny, one-person sled (there were eight of us) all together at once and pushed ourselves down the hill. And we all fell off one at a time and started rolling down the snowy hill, getting bruised up and colder and wetter, until there was only one person left on the sled at the bottom of the hill. And the rest of us were all strewn about various places in the lawn, rubbing our hurt parts and laughing as hard as we could.

It was the best night of my life.
