I worked at a ski resort(that wasnt a resort, just called that) for 3 years, so here's what I would have to say.
-Wear sunscreen
-Bring lots of lip chap.
-If you try snowboarding, and go on a chairlift, dear goodness do not move your legs all over the place. You'll fall and smack into another person. Skis it doesn't matter, since your one foot isnt in a binding.
-Don't go inside every time you get cold, just makes it worse when you go back out. When your about to get frost bite is when you go in.
-Start out easy. Don't think you can handle something you can't!
-Don't chew gum or have a candy in your mouth while you ski.
-Try to stay warm :)
-First thing you should do is learn to stop. Master the nice little butt turn before you go down a hill.
-Remember that its all in your lower body. Flailing your arms all over the place won't stop you, but tip you over. So its not reccommended.

Not very helpful, mostly common sence, but there ya go!

Location: Halfway between fantasy and reality....
Always read signs. I nearly skied into a lake because I went straight past one. Goggles are always handy as well.

That's all I can think of. Little Miss Helpful speaks. Oh yeah, have fun as well!
