I agreed with Qanda, complaining to higher authority will make matter worst.

However, I think sitting down and talking to her about her bad attitude will not help either. No matter what, she is still 6years older than you, and in her own eyes, you are still a little girl. Imagine a little girl telling you that you got problem with your attitude. I dun think it feels too good.

One way to do it is to befriend with her. Find something that is good about her (sure there is something) and praise it infront of her. If she sugguested something that you agreed, or some points that you agreed, said that you agreed with her on that point in front of everybody. If you got something that you dunno (even tiny, unimportant things), asked her, telling her that you need an "expert" advise. Use the word "expert".

You dun have to "fake" yourself, I believe everybody will have something good or be right at sometime. You just need to find them and use them. If she stop hating you, she will give you lesser trouble. Remember that your aim is to work there and get the monthly salary, so dun make your life difficult by pulling a black face when you see her.

Smile, even if you hate her to core.

I would entirely disagree with that.

How well do you think someone, especially someone as unpleasant as this woman would take it if you sat down with her and in nicer terms than this said 'you're a crappy person with crappy skills.' Is she going to be like 'oh thanks so much for raising this point, being the friendly pragmatist that I am, I'll try and change my ways!' or is she going to get offended and probably more unpleasant.

If you take it above her, you not only get to potentially ruin her employment or just humiliate her with disciplinary actions, but it's not exactly like your life is going to become rubbish because of it!

Seriously, there are authority figures for us to turn to for a reason, and that reason ISN'T for us to deal with problems on our own.

Umm, I think you misunderstood on_diet_cat, Skull. What he said was totally the opposite - that is, to express admiration and friendliness towards that woman rather than criticise her.

If you humiliate her by telling her superior, she will most likely get more angry at you, and while she may stop bossing you around and such, the antagonism between the two of you will escalate and it will be very detrimental to the productivity and efficiency of the workplace.

To clarify then:

I completely disagree with the first statement, that taking matters to an authority figure will make matters worse.

I also disagree with the third point. Demean yourself by sucking up to her? Damn, is there more of a limp-wristed, spineless thng to do? If someone is bullying you at school, do you suck up to him? If someone is kicking your smurf, you don't tell them how good a job they are doing of it.

Get her sorted out. If you suck up to her, is she genuinely going to think 'wow this girl is being really nice to me, even though I'm a massive female-dog to her! Hell, being the marvellous person I am, I'll stop being nasty!' or is she going to think 'pushover?'

Hmm.

Well, she just got a whole lot worse, but I'm glad that I never have to see her again. She fired me today...

Okay, so what happened was this: as you know, I was doing a work placement at the office and this placement had been organised by the training centre. Razia called my ETA (the person who looks after me at the traing centre) and my ETA, Corrine, had a word with me saying that I could no longer work there because they felt I wasn't coping. Basically, Razia didn't want me there. I made some friends there and they were really nice and also shocked. One of them quickly ran into town to get me some chocolates and a card and everyone signed it - except for Razia, of course. She even walked straight past me and talked to another woman. She knew I was there so why did she walk right past me without even saying goodbye, thanks for your help here, hope you find something more suitable in the future?

Sorry, but I have to say this. Razia is a -removed-.

Runedit: Even if a filtered word is replaced by asteriks, it is still getting around our filters. Please don't let this happen again

Well, this is bad yet great at the same time!

Now you can do worse things!

REVENGE!

- Prank call her repeeatdely with lame jokes such as "Is your WASHING MACHINE running?"
- Buy some hay from a farmer, throw it all around her driveway.
- Write out gushy love notes to people around your old office and say signed Razia.
- Send her spam through e-mail
- Throw LOTS of birdseed around her property(Hooray for Pigeon Poop!)
- Find a Mafia
- Honk your horn outside her house for 1 minute at 5 am.
- If you can still go back to your office, chew ALOT of gum, and then stick it underneath her desk, chair, etc.
- Send her a virus.
- Moon her.
- Act like you appreciate being fired, saying that you applied for some high postition job and got it, and say thanks.
- Send a nice cake to her through the mail. Some ideas for cakes include:
- Mud for icing
- Talcum powder instead of flour
- Jello, with little bits of chicken in it
- A sock!(Make sure to only to dip it in)

is to get shaving cream onto the earpiece end of her phone. Then when she answers it -- EARFUL O' SHAVING CREAM! Woo.

I honestly don't think pranks are fitting for this situation.
If you're a 19 year old, you're an adult.
Pranks aren't for adults in situations like this.
Turn around, and walk away with your head held high, doing anything else would be unbefitting, and it would only prove in their mind that you were to immature to keep the job.

*points*
What she said.
Don't stoop to her level.
If anything.. her actions have just took her down a few more pegs for the people she works with.
Don't let morons like her get to you.

Don't worry, I wasn't going to prank her. She's not worth it anyway. Sorry for that little swear word by the way.
