At my school we have 2 semesters and 4 classes per semester. It works like this:
Period 1(8:15-9:40): Law
Period 2(9:45 - 11:00): music
Period 3ab(11:05 - 12:25): Math
Period 3c(12:25 - 1:05): Lunch
Period 4(1:10 - 2:25): Religion
The times are funny I think and the division of period 3 by letters looks strange, but it's actually really straight forward, and I only have 4 classes to worry about at a time.

it's a general rule at my college that there's no class on fridays, which means i have a four-day weekend coming up!
otherwise, on mon&wed:
classical epic from 10a-11:40a
public and private: theory (a theater class) from 2p-3:40p
tue&thurs:
advanced fiction from 10a-11:40a
reading for writers from 2p-3:40p
it's a nice schedule. i go to my dorm for lunch usually. but i gotta say, trying to study classical epics at 10 in the morning is NOT a good plan.
