Or eat their brains, as is appropriate conduct among zombies.

Appropriate conduct require that she grunt a few times, moan and then eat their brains. It's all in the etiquette, dear.

Technically, you're not immortal. All the blood is sucked from you, and replaced with saltwater. Then you're frozen (Like in Austin powers) and later brought back by placing blood back in. Your body is preserved while your blood goes somewhere else. Talk about an out-of-body experience.

I personally think that it isn't a scientist's job to play God. Take that as you wish.

Depending on what you believe in though, God may not be an issue if you're a scientist.
It certainly wouldn't be if I was one. So I see no reason to hold to the morals of a few faiths when something like this could benefit people.
If it can be used to save people, I don't see why it shouldn't be tried. At least it's something that has the potential to save a few lives. And a life is a very precious thing indeed.

i agree. i would class myself as a scientist, but i'm not religious at all, so i wouldnt see myself as "playing god" if i did something like that.

Another point i'd like to make... how is this playing God. Can you say that God doesn't want us to know how to do this? How exactly do you know what God wants?

I don't have any Scripture to back it up or anything, but I honestly just don't think it is right. A point to take into consideration is that God plans the right time to die for us. Bringing one back to life would be defying His Will. Also, in the Bible, only select people can bring others back to life. I'd assume that's for a reason.

I'm no Biblical expert by any means, I'm just taking what I know and trying to use it.

If God had wanted us to be immortal then we all would be immortal. IMO, I don't think it is right to be bringing back dead people if they are already dead. If heaven does exist (which I believe) it is like taking someone back to earth from heaven.

One point I would like to make. The dogs were brought back to life. However, dogs don't do math, talk, drive cars, etc., etc. So, we don't know if they were the same "dogs" that they were prior to their death. In other words, the dogs may be living but did anyone check to see if any brain damage incurred as a result of their deaths?

Personally, I would not want to be brought back to life unless someone made darned sure that no brain damage had occurred. No fun living if you are drooling, babbling incoherently and need your adult diaper changed, if you get my drift.

I'm still trying to figure out, where in the Bible, it says that God didn't want to progress ourselves. Does this mean that you don't believe in blood transfusions, or organ donations as a means of prolonging life?

You may not think it's right, but others obviously do. God may plan for us to die, but how is this saying, he doesn't want us to continue to live? What if this is in Gods plan, to have us do this? Only select people can bring others back to life, yes, but what if these people who are trying to do it, are also select people?

I'm not a biblical expert either, but I do enjoy playing devils advocate.

I didn't say I don't believe in prolonging life, I just don't believe in bringing someone/something back from already being dead.

Dearies, I think it is time that I start handing out cookies. Have one, won't you?

Oh, to be on topic. Who knows what God does or does not want us to do. Unfortunately, even with my psychic powers, I cannot tell. I have a feeling we just won't get answers on this on until we are on the other side. And even then, who knows?
