My friends and I have a weird sense of humor. We love to act stupid and be sarcastic and make jokes. XD Sometimes some of the popular kids had to sit with us (there was no more room for them to sit in the cafeteria) and they stared at us like we were mental. :P

And that, my dear, is why it's allll worth it in the end. You will be the ones laughing and having the good time, not them, so just stick it through.

I don't like all the groups and everything in high school either, but I don't really care (frankly, I don't even know what group I'm considered in anymore, but anyways). I think you just have to not let it get to you if they call you a nerd or whatever. I mean, you are you, most importantly =).

And my best friend is a girl, so people always say were dating when we aren't. =|

I loathe most of the popular people. A few are nice, but not many. Last year whenever I walked down the hall, people would yell, "Goth!" if I was wearing black. Where I live, people judge a lot. It's like a hobby. If you're not rich, beautiful, smart, and a trend follower, you're a loser. The "nerds" here aren't picked on as much as artsy-type people. Probably more than half the people at me school are Asian, and their parents kill them if they get a "B", so super smart people aren't picked on. Now that I think of it, it's basically only the artsy people that are picked on. But that was middle school. No idea about highschool yet; I've only been there for four days.

Last year, people picked on me and my best friend because they thought we were dating. Especially this one guy, Rodrigo. :x Oh yeah, those rumors were true. XP But we denied it!! Because gay people get picked on the most.

God am I thankful my middle school isnt like that. Even the popular people at my school accept everyone is different. I'm not "In", but I'm not "nerdy" or "ugly". People at my school judge others by who they are, not by what they wear or what they look like. :)

Your choice of clothing is determined by your personality, and is a component of "the way you act".

At my school it's kinda like that......

if you want to be popular, wear miniskirts on a regular basis.

But, people don't label you as a "nerd" or "ugly", fortunately.

It seems like this is happenning in most schools, and I hope it stops! ~:>

(And if you're wondering; I'm in grade 7. :))

EEEEEE! Labbie! *hug*

*cough* Errrr.... back on topic....

I've always found that it's not worthyour dignity and $40 for a pair of already wrecked jeans to be "popular". They'll be bagging your groceries in 10 years anyway, so just ignore them for now. 8)

I don't really remember middle school too much.... actually no.. now that I think about it I do remember alot of it.
I definetly wasn't in the popular crowd... I was just the very quiet type. Wore black alot and just kept to myself most of the time.
Actually my black wearing days started in the 8th grade.
6th and 7th I just wore whatever

I remember selling candy out of my backpack... and buying ice cream for friends with the money I saved up. Not b/c I wanted to be popular but just b/c I wanted to be nice.

If people did pick on me.. it was behind my back *shrugs*

It's hard.. but your best bet is to just ignore the idiots picking on you.
They're losers who need to pick on others to make themselves feel better. It's pretty pathetic.

Suddenly, I'm thankful that all schools in Malaysia have uniforms.

We're only out of uniforms when we get to 6th form.

Nobody's passed comment on what people are wearing yet, apart from one patricularly nasty crotch wedgie...er..

Yeah, don't worry about it.

FIDDS! I haven't seen you in forever!

I know. I can't stand those jeans that already come all torn up and have patches. Surprisingly, not too many people wear them at my school, though. Most of them wear miniskirts. D: I have one jean skort, which I hardly ever wear. They're so annoying and get bunched up in the back and make you look like you have a wedgie. XD

 I can just picture them working at Wal-Mart handing out those smiley face stickers.

If it makes you feel any better, in high school and college, cliques and popularity hierarchies are history.

Yeah I've encountered this as well, but I've found that if you take pride in your fashion statements and choices and you stick up for them, most people will eventually respect you. Kids/teens are pretty rabid, and the ones who don't eventually realize that it matters more who you are than what you wear are probably not worth your time.

Example: Even my closest friends made fun of me when I wore bright orange cutoffs to school two years ago along with my orange converse. These days, I'm still obsessed with orange (no clue why) and now all my friends think it is cool how color-coordinated I am. Plus orange is an 'in' color. But it sure wasn't when I wore flaming orange pants to school. Huzzah.

I've also had the problem of people making nasty comments about me and my best friend, because we are really close and we definitely started not caring what other people think of us (we'll share a changing room or whatever, simply because we don't give a rip). My personal opinion is that people need to grow up. =) tis kind of blunt, but really.

I say do what you want to do and what makes you feel good about yourself (within reason!!!!).
