Anything and everything goes in here... within reason.

Had to add that in.

"I have video games to play." And that would be true.
Or,
"Sorry, what did you say, I got distracted by the the leprechaun behind you burning things."
If the person turns around to look, run. If the person doesn't, then they will think you're weird, and they will stare at you like you're crazy. They will then say "Riiiggghhhttt..." Or something like that and back away slowly.

I don't get invited to parties.
"Uh. No. Go away." If I really didn't want to go.

I'd just say I didn't want to go and I appreciate the offer in most cases. I wouldn't lie, regardless of the situation though.

"Sorry, I have too much homework" or "I have to go to my dad's house." [which, most of the time I use it, is true, so it works

]

Sick, too much homework, going out of town. Pick any, I've used em all.

My excuses haven't been used for a date/party, but going out with friends or something...and I can't go, I would probably use:
"Ehh...I have work." or "Can't make it." or "Busy with school, homework, and all this crap."
Something along those lines... All true and used some time before.

I'm really really blunt, it's a curse. I'd say something along the lines of.
'No, I don't wanna go'
Gets the job done, and avoids hurt feelings if they find out that you were lying.

"Sorry, I have homework to do" or "Sorry, I'm feeling sick"
They both work.

Well... I am slightly to honest, so wil probably say something like "Sorry, but err, I... don't, um... Want to come..." or something like that... THats just me though.

I would say it straight.. That I did'nt fell like it right now but I hope we could do it some other time,,,

I'd probably just tell them I have developed a headache or I'm really tired which could be close to the truth at times.

'Can't come, too busy trying to write witty excuses'
Fri Sep 16, 2005 1:45 pm
Pfft. As if I'd actually get invited.

I love that one. I'll have to use it sometime.

I've actually used all the classic ones: I'm sick, my little brother/sister/other close relative is sick and I have to babysit them, my mom grounded me, I'm swamped with homeworks, I've got to visit my granny in another town, I forgot to come (the next day with a regretful voice).
What about "they asked me to star in the next Harry Potter film, and I have to go and meet the cast?"
