Because you dont stand a bat in a snowstorms chance of getting there that fast on one of our trains.

Really now? It wouldn't cut the time roughly in half (driving v. train)? Meh, even if it does take 6 hours, it'd be more enjoyable then back on a plane really. Seeing some views, etc.

wow. it took me longer than that when i went up there on the train and it was a direct train to durham from birmingham.
EDIT: not that i didnt believe you, but i just checked, and wow you're right! how can it take longer from the midlands than from london?!

wow. it took me longer than that when i went up there on the train and it was a direct train to durham from birmingham.
