What is The Secret?

Haha.

That thing reminded me of this ridiculous idea that I had when I was about 7 or 8. It was that all the most famous authors in the world didn't actually write their books. In fact, magical gnomes had given them those books to publish under their name. That was why some writers, no matter how hard they tried, could never become as successful xD

Just imagine if someone they could embed a subliminal message into something and it would work. Well if mad-scientist type person could really make a subliminal message that would work don't you think they'd put it on television? And don't you think they'd hipe it up so you'd want to watch and find out what it is all about? And well "The secret" might be nothing more than an attempt to take over the world. I wonder when this secret will be revealed...mmm How about June 6...2006..666...maybe?

Anyway, something about that "lighting up the world" and "changing the world" and all "effecting the lives of billions of people" just seems to scream Illuminati or NWO to me. And well, in my belief system there really isn't anything a person can do about it, it is going to happen anyway. So all we can do is just be aware of that.

They made a movie, Videodrome a number of years ago about subliminal messages in TV, mind control, the whole thing. Not for the young or squeamish though.

Sounds like the best parts of Tony Robbins, est, scientology, buddism, put whatever other religion here, chakra/new age enlightment all mixed together into ... I donno what.

Actually, the"lighting up the world" thing was one of those links. It showed how the Secret had spread since it was released. A little light showed up on a world map for everyone who had signed up for "the secret" spams. It's actually really weird. It spread fast.

I know someone mentioned it already but this just screams Dan Brown's 'The DaVinci Code' or 'Holy Blood and the Holy Grail' by Baigent, Leigh and Lincoln. Especially some of the names that were coming up in the first video clips and although the dates are a little off, there's similar things there. Initally thought it might have had something to do with the movie but apparently that won't be around until March 19th.

That being said, yeah, I noticed recently a lot of advertisers have been doing this "secret" thing before actually revealling the product. It'll probably turn out to be something utterly useless.

I was in a play about that once. It was a surprisingly dark comedy where I played a gnome imprisoned in a man's closet writing him a book. Its called the Author's Voice and when it came out it starred Kevin Bacon and David Hyde Pierce (or Frasier fame)

And the cast and the director. Its a rocking script if anyone ever has the chance to check it out, I highly recommend it.

lol! Sounds about right. I didn't even look at the site very much because it was taking a long time to load. Glad to know I didn't really miss out on anything; it sounds suspiciously like it's either going to be something nauseating or some sort of "pay us money and we'll improve your life" scheme.

For those who don't want to watch it, it says that 'every word [of the secret] is priceless' and it asks if you can imagin 'having The Midas Touch, Finding Aladins Lamp, Discovering King Solomon's Mines and Drinking From The Holy Grail'.

In other words, this most likely is viral advertising.
