Except that it's not a fake holiday. It dates back to the 16th century, when all the calendars were changed (the beginning of the year used to be April 1).

Anyways, I might celebrate it the French way, and stick paper fish to people's backs. xD


Yay, let us Xenophobic Christians mock the locals whom celebrate new year on 1st of April, Then chang our minds as to OUR new year a few years later.

My mom pulled a good one on me and my brother when we were young. We were really into a console called the Mega-Drive and my mom came in to our bedroom with a big grin on her face. She told us that the game shop down town had rung us and said that they were giving away all Mega-Drive games for free. We were jumping for joy until my mom shouted "APRIL FOOLS!"

Twas a very sad day...

I haven't thought about pulling any pranks this year. I don't think I will. It will be fun to hear what everyone else got up to though.
