Yeah, I'm a bright kid, a top student and get great report cards, and get either B+, As (there's no A+), and rarely Bs. I'm not sure about Nahyeon cause out report cards are private and nobody else can see. I'm sure she's doing great or possibly betetr than me. We've rivaled in intelligence for years, but I'm gonna give up lol she's like the only non-giving up girl I know. We're both always up to date on your school work, and on the last dayof school the teacher said "If you've finished ALL your work, then find out the answers to your rock questiosn we did like Nahyeon and Ben are doing."

I think she cried cause she didnt want anyone to know. I'd cry if rumors of who I liked were spreading the school like wild fire. Its none of anyones business but you and Nahyeons. If you're 11, I honestly believe you're too young to be having romantic relationships, really. I'd work on cementing a solid friendship. They're woth more than short lived dates, and it can turn in to something very serious and strong when you're older.

Instead of only talking about that Deltora Quest thing, find out about other things she likes. See if she uses her computer and start an online game like Runescape together and be IM buddies. After you two talk a lot for a while and really get to know each other, you'll be able to carry on conversations that aren't just discussions about common interests. You'll be able to joke around and such.


If somebody teases you or her, just say, "Sorry, I'm mature enough to realize that guys and girls can be friends. Maybe you're too much of a baby to know that cooties aren't real, but we've figured it out already." Make them look stupid.

I've seen that happen before. Boy likes girl. Girl doesn't like boy. Girl finds out about crush. Girl likes boy. Not guarenteed to work, though.

Now, I personally believe that in order to have a relationship (as in a boyfriend-girlfriend type thingie), you have to start with a friendship. The stronger the better. I see that you two like the same books. That's a start. Just start a conversation with her, and talk about some random stuff until you find some more common interests. You could try to do it in a more...private place. If she's as good of a friend as she seems, she won't hold back or look at you like you're crazy or something. Smurf, she may even enjoy the attention. Like Fidds said up there ^, you soon won't have to rely on just interests anymore. You could just, well, talk about random stuff! And maybe what you talk about with your other friends.

So basically what I'm saying is that be friends now, and wait until you're old enough to start a deeper relationship. If she ends up not feeling the same way later on, then you can fall back on the friendship you've formed. Who knows, you might even be crushing on another girl in a few years.
