Piercings are going to wait for when my friend gets the proper studs for her gun (yes she's had training), she can pierce almost anything with it. But I'm just getting my cartilage pierced and my nose.

Err I don't mean to interfer but piercing guns can be really dangerous, whether used correctly or not.

http://tattoo.about.com/cs/psafety/a/piercing_guns.htm

I'm not saying your friend doesn't know what she's doing but the risk is really high either way. I wouldn't want you to get a bad experience.

I'm not getting anything done that should actually be done at a body piercing place. Just my nose and upper ears that they use to do with guns a few years ago.

My point was that no piercings are meant to be done with guns but oh well.

I wanted to get a battleship across my chest, but I'm too wimpy - the artist said all he could do was a rowboat.

I'm getting a bar code put on my wrist as soon as I figure what product I want to be, and one of my arm of a dream catcher (need funds for that).

The first item ever scanned was a pack of Wrigley's Juicy Fruit gum. You could always get that.

A lady who owns one of the Tattoo places with her boyfriend came into my work today and suggested a Tootsie Roll, thought it was a cool idea. I think I'm going to check out slogans and go that way If not Tootsie Roll it is.

Wow. I didn't realize people at PPT were so pierced and tattooed. Personally, I would never get a piercing or tattoo, for several reasons:

A. They are painful
B. They're permanent
C. I don't exactly find them visually appealing. I just don't.
D. They cause major problems when applying for a job. For instance, a few teachers at my school have to wear knee socks or long pants all of the time because they have ankle tattoos. I probably would be hesitant to hire someone with a tattoo, too.

When it comes right down to it, it's a matter of personal preference. If you're going to get a tattoo, you need to put a lot of thought into it. Remember that some people think tattoos look "trashy" and stuff (I don't share this opinion, but I know a lot of people who do). Also, they call to mind an association with biker gangs.

alright, my opinion on the subject

Piercings

(please note that most of the following apply to females. If I ever see a guy with a navel piercing, i'll cry and refer him to the nearest mental hospital)

-ears Image (alright with me)

-navel Image (alright with me)

-tongue Image (not my thing)

-lip Image (not my thing)

-anywhere else i'm partial to -_-

tattoos

-i'm not a big fan period. they are way too permanent and i would never get one.

- I don't mind one or two small ones on the ankle or hip, or shoulder or something

-I don't like it when people go overboard and get a ton of piercings/ tattoos.

now also please note that if you are someone who has a lot of tattos/piercings, that's fine with me, it's your body, you do what you want. I'm not gonna hate you or anything, it just isn't my thing.

take jen for example. she has a LOT of tattoos and piercings. does that mean that i hate jen now because of that? heck no!

i dunno, maybe i'm being contradicting here, but meh.., i'm tired, so i'm sorry if i somehow managed to offend you.

I work for 7-11 they are awesome with piercings and tattoo's, even with me wearing my collar and other odd stuff they seem to be really cool with people showing off their individualality as long as you're in your work uniform. It might be different with other Stores but the Alberta Boss didn't seem to mind, and neither did when we were a Saskatchewan store before.

Of course there are places where they have an image to maintain and won't hire due to that, and why careful consideration goes into what I get done. My Bar Code will be easily hidden by appropriate jewlery as it will be a standart UPC size. The butterfly is easy, I don't wear skirts for work.

I have my left ear pierced though I haven't worn my stud in years and it hasn't closed up.

Also, as soon as I am old enough I'm going to get a paw print above my ankle and maybe after that a raven on my forearm.

I'd like to get a piercing between my eyes and two on each eyebrow with just studs or bars, but again some places won't hire you if you have piercing and I think a job is more important.

I might get my earlobes pierced but it's unlikely since when you wear heavy earrings they stretch your ears and make them all ugly looking. Upper ear might be ok, I'd rather just get an ear band for that though.

I'd never get a lip or tongue ring unless I was at the end of my rope and just wanted to make some quick cash for my then terrible coke addiction. :P I don't think I'd ever get anything else pierced either.

Sometimes a tattoo can be cute and a few piercing are ok but usually when I see someone who has a tattoo or a lot of piercing it indicates to me that they don't think to much ahead about life and have a "who cares" attitude, living for the moment , basically irresponsible. Of course there are exception but in general that seems to be the message I get.

Tattoos and piercings are waay too permament for me :P I do have dreadlocks though (not quite the same but it was done in a tattoo shop and it hurted a lot just by getting it)... Don't regret it though, heard a few people say it looks sexy :P (note: 'a few' ^^)

I guess tattoos are acceptable though I dislike the kinds that have names written on their body. I mean, what if they split up :P then you're stuck with that name on your upper arm. Piercings don't look that bad either, except when you place them in pretty painful locations...

I'm talking about professional jobs like teaching, businesspeople, etc. They tend to be really conservative about things like that.

Then be more specific.

Tattoo's can be covered, most piercing can be temporarily removed or have the clear jewlery to hide it if possible.

I have one piercing in each ear, and no tattoos. I may get a second piercing in each ear eventually, but that'd probably be about it. I'm too much of a coward to get anything else done (also, my mother would likely disown me.)

My sister conned me into getting my left ear pierced in 2000 when we were in London, and I got it done. It hurt like hell, and when I got home I saw the error of my ways and took it out, and I haven't put anything in there since.

Personally, if I get a tatoo it would only be something small and in a place that couldn't be seen easily, because I don't want to be 75 and have huge tatoos going down my arms and all across my chest.

Navel piercings are hot (on girls) and I think pretty much every girl has at least one ear piercing. When it comes to lip piercings, nose piercings, etc., I don't think people get them to be hot more than they do it to be different.

Tattoos on women can be hot when they're put in the right area, I won't mention those areas though. However, when you get old you'll probably wish you never got it.

I'm kind of down on [teenage] tattooing just to be different because odds say you're not going to be an angsty teen forever and when you eventually become a parent / adult you might just regret that entire phase and the tattoos that came along with it.
