Black ink for writing in my offline journal or for taking notes.(I also take notes in blue ink, if I'm running low on black ink.) I prefer ballpoint, because it keeps me from leaving the pen in one place too long.
Mechanical pencil for doing school assignments, because they make me feel clearer and cleaner. I need the easy sharpening and the eraseability.
Regular pencil for the crossword, word jumble, or sudoku, because my newspaper doesn't like mechanical pencils(the paper itself is too soft for them, I sometimes rip through them) and I erase a lot.

I usually write with a mechanical pencil but once in a while I'll write with a black pen.

I only use .5 mechanical pencils.

i need to be able to erase stuff, so i don't like pen, and regular pencils are annoying because i'm lazy and don't want to get out of my seat to go and sharpen it.

I only like to use Pentel R.S.V.P fine. Although, the ink collects on the tip and I constantly have to wipe the tip off the side of my paper, leaving long, black marks on it. Oh well. I love it and don't like using anything else.

Seriously, I prefer crayons. If I can, I'll write in them.

But usually I use pencils, because people get mad when their note is written in wierd waxy stuff.

I like regular pencils and mechanical pencils, but I usually just use a regular one. I usually break the lead of the mechanical ones when I'm writing, and my letters usually look really skinny because I write at a weird angle. Plus, they always make those horrible squeaking noises when I write with them. D:

There is a severe lack of pencil sharpeners at my school. I use mechanical- the ones with a big spring inside so you shake it and lead comes out, as opposed to pressing it on the top (although that works too).

Plus, I have a bad callous on my third finger, so the nice grips on mechanical pencils always help.

Mechanical pencils all the way... but I find it so annoying when you pull out the eraser to put more lead in, and you lose the eraser. It has happened to me many many times, but maybe that is just because I am so clumsy.

But Mechanical pencils are so neat and clean, I like them much better than normal ones, and most pens I use smear, so I don't like them. Too messy.

Black pen, usually. Sometimes I'll go for a mechanical pencil. I hate normal pencils. I don't own any normal pencils anymore, except for drawing pencils. I hate having to get uo and sharpen things.
