Don't know if it also came before or after the stabbing at Ross Sheppard High School, if there was one, I know of an incident involving a weapon in the early-mid 90's. pretty sure it was a stabbing though.

I went to Scona. We were the goody-goody athletics school. There was the shooting involving a high schooler on the bridge by Southgate (over by Harry Ainley) high school one day... my brother was on the other side of the bridge (but not involved) at the time. Scary stuff.

There were always fights though, always will be in schools. I remember in grade 12, one kid got stabbed in the arm with a pencil. That was crazy. There was this trail of blood down the hall... yeah. Not nice.

I just read about this in my paper. Apparently the school says that they were saying it was about how the boy was chewing his food, not about how he was eating with his spoon/fork.

Ah well.

And if he'd thrown his spoon at her, i'm sure he'd have been suspended.

When I was 5, I got told that the way I ate was wrong by a dinner lady. Apparently eating left-handedly is wrong. I was forced to eat the "correct" way by her. I remember crying lots about it until I got put in the naughty-corner. *still traumatised*

What is her problem? If he was scoffing his food and using his hands and getting food all over the place, THEN she has the right to call him a disgusting pig. I don't see anything wrong with the way he eats at all. I can remember getting told off because I chewed my food too fast. I couldn't help it so I just continued and in the end they chose to ignore it. I really hope the teachers at his school can do the same.

I don't think any teacher has a right to call any student a disgusting pig. Considering there are a lot of people (as I am sure you can understand) who have taken abuse from teachers or unfair treatment from them, I cannot believe you'd ever say that a teacher has a right to call someone a disgusting pig.

Yep good old Northsides schools where gangs were booming in compairison with the east side. We use to rumble all the time with Queen E, lol they should have never put 2 high school a few blocks from each other.

Eating with your left hand is incorrect? Well damn, I guess I need to work on that. Even though I am right handed, I eat with my left.

And I eat some of my food with a fork and spoon -.- Like spahgetti. I grab a bunch of spahgetti on my fork, then hold the fork and spoon together and twirl the fork so the noodles don't fall off.

I remember getting in trouble in High School for wearing a collar that had 1.5 inch spikes in it. The principal suspended me because he said that if I got into a fight, I could easily take it off and hit the person with it.

Come on, if I got into a fight and tried to take the collar off, I would get my butt whooped, because of unhooking the collar, I would be leaving myself open for hits-.-

AND then I got suspended for wearing dark makeup. He said that it wasn't school appropriate to be a goth. So I told him to shove it, and that it was my "religion" (they hated it when you said that), and that if it was against the schools dresscode for being a goth, then he should go into the halls and suspend all the preppy girls who let their clevage (and other parts) hang out, or show their bellies, ect, seeing as it was against school dresscode....needless to say, in the end, I got kicked out of school for 2 months for what I said x.x BUT! I made my point to him ^.^
