hehe moongewl i saw that video xD

I am here for 3 weeks Kuge. i just think that its sad that a country keeps their citizens ignorant. Wikipedia isn't blocked here but its like they don't like interaction on internet. MSN messanger still works but most blogging websites arn't working and aim isn't working either. People can easily meet up in any restaurant and talk about stuff or talk on their cellphones. Cellphones costs are super cheap over here. People can interact easily over those.

*Roffles*
Don't go to China, you'd probably die of the shock.

There are loads of sites that have Banned in Dubai badges... you'd think LJ would show a little pride there as well.

But there's a way to "go around" the firewall. I don't know the way, but my schoolmate's father knows. He lives in China and is able to "go around" the firewall to access to some banned websites.
So...you have 2 choices. Either go figure out how to do it yourself, or ask him. XD

I don't think that's a really good idea. He might get black-bagged or something. Invited to Lake Laogai for re-education.

I actually tried going around with the programs they suggest on the wikipedia but I can't get them to work..way too complicated.

There are a bunch of hosts that you can't sign up for if you're in China.
Pfft, that's stupid though. I wonder if you can access Wordpress there.

Last I heard, China hadn't quite got the hang of the Google filters in English, so there's some good news for Anglophones.

Ah, V for Vendetta... a movie all varieties of political nutjob can enjoy! (Except neo-Nazis, I suppose.)

Considering that websites which show the government of the UAE in a bad light get blocked over there, it's not surprising that one of the biggest exchanges of free speech and ideas is also blocked. Of course, when people start sharing opinions, they'll start looking bad, and the government can't have that, now can they?

Your right ski but then if they want to stop people from sharing ideas they need to ban myspace, piczo, msn messenger, all forums, youtube, neopets, any multiplayer game which has chatting, anything website that has a pm function, emails....see where i am getting at? Basically all the internet needs to be banned.
