Psh, you can't tell me what to do! And besides, the fact that the vast majority of the people that surround me on a daily basis are utterly braindead morons doesn't really help. :(

can't find the sig from this set, so instead, you get a <3 .

I don't use chatspeak offline. In my opinion, that's absolutely disturbing. If I saw someone using chatspeak offline, I'd think they were a complete moron. It's even worse than online. *shudders*

My seventh grade social studies teacher once told us not to use chatspeak in our essays, because some people had done that. I was just sitting there, completely shocked, thinking of how ashamed I was to be sitting in this room with all these idiots. I'm serious.

Chatspeak in general, in ANY circumstance, makes me cringe. A very small number of phrases are okay in IM, and an even smaller number in forums, but that's it.

Once again, my personal opinion.

No, I never officially left; yes, I am gone forever. I have also permanently left AIM. If you need to contact me, drop a line on LJ. Same username.

No. It's more the thing you do when you're younger.

I've heard people say "oh em gee" too. XD

I've found myself saying "zo my god" or "zo my gosh" (zomg) quite a few times. XD "Ex dee" too. Never caught myself saying it to someone, thankfully. XD They'd probably think I'm nuts. (Even my dad had to ask me what XD meant once when I e-mailed him something D:)

I say "pleasekaythanks" (like plzkthx) regularly. Pretty bad. I've also caught myself saying "el em ay oh", "bee are bee" and "oh em gee" several times.

Uhh......No, I don't think so.

Probably not. I don't even use chatspeak much on the computer, unless I'm on the Neopets boards. I can't keep up with the speed of them otherwise.

No, most of the people I know aren't big computer people, so they probably wouldn't get it anyway.

Yes, but never earnestly. There have to be about 15 layers of irony already in the conversation before I'll say "Lol!" It doesn't really come up much. :)

Oh yeah! How could I forget... this is kinda the standard joke abusive word between me, my boyfriend, and a couple of friends. I've never used it abusively online, but it's funny to holler across the room or something.
