At home: lately it's been 4 - 2 Mozilla Firefox (one with multiple tabs, the other a game window), Excel (for YYB tracking), and AIM.
At work: 3 - Mozilla Firefox (with multiple tabs), Outlook, and IE

Five! 3 MSN, 1 music, and 1 Firefox. As with a few others, though, I have multiple tabs open on FF - before I closed all my Altador Cup shield references and other useless pages I had some 13 tabs? xD Now there's only 6.

Well, at the moment just two, since I'm not on IM, but usually it's four: buddy list, IM convos, foobar and firefox.
