Anything and everything goes in here... within reason.

I'm also in French club, orchestra, and jazz band. French club is the best though because we get to eat croissants and authentic French chocolate for no good reason.

Student Council galore! *high fives Bangel and Byakuya*
I'm not really in anything else but that.

I forgot to mention, I also worked on the high school yearbook one year. Yep, they made it into a club to get us students involved. That was pretty fun, even if it was poorly managed. I got to crop photos and setup page layouts and such.

I'm not preppy enough and/or shallow enough to be in my school's student council

. It's ridiculously clique-y from what I hear from a friend who tried to get involved in it and none of the officers have any real power anyways besides getting to decorate the cafeteria with their campaign banners <_<.
I'm in National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta (math honors society), Delta Pi Sigma (English honor society), Business Professionals of America (similar to DECA or FBLA) and freshman mentors. I occasionally drop into art club or bridge club when I'm bored and don't mind whittling away an afternoon with them

. I'm most active in BPA though. Officer elections are tomorrow and I'm running unopposed for the 2008-2009 school year. I used to be involved in Chemistry & Physics Confederation (science club one of my friends started but it wasn't very organized) and I used to be on the debate team, but debate was too time consuming.
My boyfriend thinks I'm in too many clubs but I think I've got a good balance.

I was in the Literary Club one year. Sort of. They asked me to help edit submissions to the magazine. Then I entered some story of mine and won a prize. Other than that, and Drama my senior year, I was ridiculously inactive.

I do Cross Country and Track, as well as Quiz Bowl, National Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta (math club). I also did the NHS Scholar's Bowl (our school won).

I was involved heaps in music. Band, and the choir.
And I did hospitality, which was half a subject, half an extra thing for me in the 3rd year (the course only goes for 2 years).
There's not really anything like that here at uni, though.

well since I'm in culinary school now I dont have options for clubs outside of the competition teams. But I can tell you what I've been involved in in the past:
Middle school: concert band, theatre, show choir
High School: choir, marching band, concert band, theatre, speech and debate, mock trial, volleyball, ice hockey, poms, yearbook and newspaper
College: Sigma Kappa sorority, concert band, Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity Sweetheart (this year), and of course I always loved intramural sports!

If you've seen the student council at my school, you'd know you don't have to be preppy OR shallow to get in. It's not cliquey, but the banners thing is true. We mainly just mess around the whole time.

Same with my StuCo. It's really just an excuse to hang out after school and plan the occasional school wide activity. It definitely isn't clique-based and most of the kids in it are among the top in their class.
