Yeah, it's something like that. I've heard rants about why waste money going to outer space when we still have most of the ocean and rainforests to discover.

the rainforest doesnt need saving, it needs to be left alone, seriously, if the rainforests survived the hucking great saurapods eating their bodyweight in vegetation daily, for 128 million years theyll damn well survive us, and heck, if they donw, life will adapt.

Eh, I'm still waiting for the discovery of actual proof of the loch ness monster or some other awesome cool sea dragon type thing. At least the discovery of some fish gives me some hope that there're still some things that we haven't discovered yet...

Just reading the title of this thread made me excited, just because it reassures us that there IS more out there, and that we haven't discovered everything just yet...

I think I read the same news story yesterday but the fish I read about was a creepy angler fish (the picture looked creepy). They also discovered a 4.5 meter long cold water shark and they found endangered fishes that are endangered on the water surface, but aren't endangered deeper down.

Some of you know about my marine obcession. Well the news today showed pictures of 2 new marine animals that were discovered in the atlantic in an underwater mountain ranger about 2 miles deep. They are a new species of squid and a new fish they are calling the "snake fish".

I thought it was really cool and worth shareing. It just proves theres so much about the ocean that we dont know about.

I've heard of several types of fish all called snake fish, so I'm unsure of which one you mean.
