Yeah, it's something like that. I've heard rants about why waste money going to outer space when we still have most of the ocean and rainforests to discover.
[joke] I know! When the giant underwater....man eating fish....that evolved legs and out of water lungs really, really quickly that we had never saw even though there are millions of them comes to eat us we can all flee to somewhere else in space..xD [/joke]
...you know of *looks around for spys*...the fishmen?
flee quickly, before *they* come for you!

I think that we should probably sepnd a bit of cash saving the rainforests and exploring the ocean before we go off spacing...A couple of new fish eh? Sounds interesting.

the rainforest doesnt need saving, it needs to be left alone, seriously, if the rainforests survived the hucking great saurapods eating their bodyweight in vegetation daily, for 128 million years theyll damn well survive us, and heck, if they donw, life will adapt.
it always has, it always will.

Eh, I'm still waiting for the discovery of actual proof of the loch ness monster or some other awesome cool sea dragon type thing. At least the discovery of some fish gives me some hope that there're still some things that we haven't discovered yet...

Just reading the title of this thread made me excited, just because it reassures us that there IS more out there, and that we haven't discovered everything just yet...

I think I read the same news story yesterday but the fish I read about was a creepy angler fish (the picture looked creepy). They also discovered a 4.5 meter long cold water shark and they found endangered fishes that are endangered on the water surface, but aren't endangered deeper down.

I poked around for a few minutes and found a few things.
The first one was this picture of a "snake fish", to which I added a bit of stylish and professional text:
And the second thing was the actual article, I think:

I thought it was really cool and worth shareing. It just proves theres so much about the ocean that we dont know about.
The snakefish(I saw the picture) is cool! Abnd kinda cute. A new species of squid? K.U.L.E

I've heard of several types of fish all called snake fish, so I'm unsure of which one you mean.

But that's got to be one of the weirdest, scariest of them all.
