Use a hairbrush if you have to itch. Usually I end up scratching mine till the bleed and get all scabby. So I have all these nasty looking round scars on my legs from many summers of mosquito bites.

I know what you mean ;) I have a nasty loking scar on my ankle where I scrathed too much, then went into the sea XD

Calamine lotion works well. Try that.

You can try Aloe Vera, in gel form or straight from the plant itself. Instant relief.

Well, I'm not gonna be much help here. I've gotten loads of bug bites this summer, and I scratch 'em 'til they bleed...they stop itching then. (I have many scars, too.) Fortunetly, only a couple were nasty ol' skeeter bites, as when I get them they swell up and get itchy AND painful at the same time, which is no fun at all. =(

An Asian technique is to use a hot teabag and dab/rub/apply it on each of your bites. Apparently that gets out the toxins as well.

I unknowing scratched (a lot) my last two mosquito bites- the one on the back of my hand and the one on the tip of my elbow. Both have remaining marks, they'll probably take ages to go away. ><

this is kinda weird but it helps me.. put toothpaste on it.. like a liberal amount you can even rub it in a bit but make sure there's a ton of toothpaste on it... for some reason it stops the itching for me and even if it keeps itching atleast you have a layer of toothpaste so you won't hurt urself too much (also everyone has toothpaste heh)

We should all be more carefully about mosquitoes now that a kid has died from a mosquitoe carried illness. There are things like West Nile, Esphilitus (sp?), and others. Be carefull.

*counts* Sixteen scars from mosquito bites.

Try putting tape on top of the bites.
