Huh? What do you mean about the sidebar on neopets. WHat did you mean it didn't help. And fireworks and halloween go together like pb and j. Everybody lights fircrackers on halloween.

I mean, I don't celebrate Halloween, and I want no part of it, but I have to see a Halloween toolbar all day if I want to play Neopets. :P See?

Maybe it's a Canadian thing? There are always fireworks on Halloween here, from several days before and lasting several after. In junior high I used to find tons of used fireworks on the football field on Nov. 1.
I keep my cat and bunny in my room on Halloween night so they don't get caught in the commotion, especially the cat since he's all black, don't want him hit by cars or terrorized by little kids. Surprisingly, neither pet seems to mind the fireworks.
I don't do anything on Halloween except eat leftover candy, so I'm pretty indifferent to it.

A Canadian thing? I've lived in Toronto all my life and never heard/seen/heard OF fireworks on Halloween.

I believe somebody else already posted this, but you do NOT have to put up with the toolbar, they made that clear in the editorial.

Look at the bottom selection.

Fireworks? :o
Wow, that's crazy. No one does anything like that around here.

And Medli, I'd feel sympathetic, except I'm going to have to put up with the same thing at Christmas. Hmm... maybe we'll be able to switch sidebars ourselves by then? Personally, I think the Halloween sidebar looks fantastic, though.

Fireworks on Halloween? Good to know I'm not the only one who's never heard of that.

One of my dogs is scared of anything that makes a loud noise (fireworks, car backfiring, thunder)... but she doesn't bark.. she just starts shaking like crazy, pacing and whining. It's really sad but can get annoying.

But anywho... I love Halloween.. and although like I said.. it gets annoying when my dog starts freaking out.. I love all other holidays that involves fireworks.

Fireworks eh? Bleh, I hate living in Australia sometimes, stupid fireworks ban. But people still use them anyway. The cops don't really care, so long as you don't sell them :P

The funnniest thing though, is that Fireworks aren't banned in the Australian Capital Territory... funnily enough, thats where our Prime Minister lives. I can just imagine him setting off a whole truckload of fireworks for halloween, christmas, etc. :roflol:

I'm English and I've never heard of people letting fireworks of at halloween.
In fact no one celebrates halloween much round here at all.
I dressed up at work on saturday night and we made a cocktail celled witches brew but only 4 other people came in the pub dressed up and I didn't have one trick or treater yesterday.
Fireworks randomly go off at this time of year. Like Christopher said they have gone on sale for bonfire night so there are people messing around with them.

No halloween here... So theres no need for fireworks anyway...
But my dog is also terrified of them.
Actually, he's scarred of every noise. Recently they've started rebuilding the roads of the highway by my house ( They were only 2 years old anyway, they think money falls from trees  ) And so theres alot of construction going on... And every small bang my dog starts whimpering..

We get fireworks round here at Halloween because like Christpoher said, it's coming up to Bonfire night (yay! I love that night!).

My cat's too lazy to be frightened of fireworks but my dad's dog when he was young used to be so scared of them, he had to be given mild tranquilisors to keep him calm.

I hate Halloween too because round by me, it's nothing but a chance to go begging. Yesterday, a few kids came round trick or treating and by then, I'd run out of sweets. I said "Sorry, I've got no sweets to give to you" and they replied with "Well can't you give us money then?". This was followed by a very angry Helen, forgetting to curb her tongue and her explitives. :x

Heh. My idea of celebrating Halloween is completely ignoring the door every time it rings. Great fun, that.

I don't remember hearing any fireworks...but knowing me, I wouldn't notice. (What're the laws on fireworks, anyway...can you get decent ones, or just sparklers and crap like that?)

Where abouts do you live then, cos Im moving there!! Im in Notts and we have had fireworks every night for the last week there are garages near my house and teenagers keep letting bangers off in there, its terrifying cos the noise echoes round and sounds 10x louder. When Im trying to get my kids to bed it really bugs me. And seeing as the shops round here take no notice of the law and sell them to anyone with cash we will probably have them for another 2/3 weeks.

I think that fireworks should only be sold for public displays not for general sale to the public, they cause too many accidents and its far to easy for minors to get hold of them. I dont mind putting up with fireworks on bonfire night but apart from that they are a darn nuisence!! :x

Well you can't buy fireworks until you're 18 and you're not allowed to let them off after 11pm exceptions are New Years Day, Diwail and the Chinese New Year. You can get some really good fireworks but I don't think they're safe unless you go to a proper bonfire.

Every year, there's a bonfire party at my local park. They have a mahussive bonfire, gorgeous fireworks, fire eaters, a fairground at night and the best of all, candy floss! We eat jacket potatoes and hot dogs too. It's great fun and on Bonfire night and Bonfire night only, I adore fireworks. Any other day though and I agree with everyone else, they're a "darn nuisance" .

Last night wasn't that bad really. Weren't many fireworks in west bridgford. There were loads in compton acres though. THis was my first halloween outing in my own "zone," but last year in compton acres we got loads of rockets shot at us. Best fun ever.
