Yep. We are. But there's still Boys Base. It's probably quite the same as A&F in price ranges.

Boys Base? Never heard of it.

Do you guys have Topshop by any chance? <3 I adore it even though I like more rocky, personalised clothes.

We used to. When I was like 7. It closed down, though.

(It doesn't have its own site.)

Argh bluewater is WAY to far for me. We have Topshop and Topman.

Well, it was on the PETA2 website, so people will say "omg PETA are full of crap" etc. However. There was an article that said Hollister slaughters rabbits, with very graphic images. It was extremely disgusting.

Great, we're going to get a trendy, overpriced, prejudiced store. Most likely to be based in London. Great.

What does that have to do with clothing?

And Twinkle - don't bash the store until you've seen the clothes.

If everyone describes it as "preppy" then I don't particulary want to shop there. Those kind of clothes aren't to my taste, I prefer a personal touch and style.. :)

I don't understand the whole 'preppy is bad' thing. Dressing like that is bad?

Not really. Just fashion isn't for everyone. I, for one, enjoy putting personal touches to what I wear. I don't really like wearing something, just because it's in fashion.

I like mixing and matching my clothes. For example, tattered converse boots, mega tight drain pipe jeans worn 3 sizes too big, huge studded belt and a tight little belly skimming t-shirt. Complete with chunky silver jewelery.

Or a big, huge hoody, worn with a ripped denim skirt, ballet shoes and leg warmers. Ye, I'm odd. :P

I know everyone has a different opinion in fashion, and I respect that.

But when people bash ME because I wear Abercrombie or dress preppy, that annoys me. If I want to dress like that, I will.

Yeah I agree I guess. I buy stuff that no one would think of buying, and fix it so its my own. Its not a good feeling seeing 6 different people wearing the same shirt as you on the same day :P Makes you feel just a little on the unorignal side.

They're all terrible. For one, their clothes are definitely not worth what they charge. And another, Abercrombie and Fitch's racist hiring policies don't particularily make me like them any better.

Don't be afraid to see the truth, even if no one wants you to. Be yourself and not a fool. Don't ever be afraid to speak your mind and listen to criticism. Dissent is keeps our country progressive and willingness to challenge yourself is what keeps yourself ever evolving.

I didn't mean to link to Bluewater, it's just that Bluewater is the first site that comes up when you search "boysbase UK." There is one in Lakeside and my local shopping centre, Eastgate.

Refer to Fiddelysquat's posts on A&E Asian discrimination.

Abercrombie & Fitch and their subsidiary Hollister make me sick. They only hire good-looking people and then those people only help good-looking customers. I've never seen a minority work at either of those stores, except in the storage room... just so they don't get sued for not being an equal opportunity employer.
American Eagle Outfitters is a bit higher on my list, but not by much.
Their clothes are overpriced and screaming "Wear me! I only cover 1/4 of your skin!"
I've never paid more than $15 for a shirt and the same for a pair of jeans. That is why Aeropostale is more my style. Or Marshall's, Ross, TJ Maxx, thrift stores... anywhere where you don't get ignored by salespeople who think they're too good to help you or have to pay an outrageous amount of money for clothing that won't serve as such.

I agree with you 100%. I'm really sick of the people with the "Preppy is Bad" attitude that act better than you because they *don't* wear those kinds of clothes. I respect that people don't like it for themselves, but it's awfully disrespectful that people write off others so quickly because of what they choose to wear.

I am not unoriginal or a mindless drone because that's what I choose to wear. It's what I like, it's how I'm comfortable, and it makes me feel good.

I hate those stores and would never set foot in them. Simple as that.
