Ooh...once when I was 7 I made some brownies, and I thought I should make some tea to go with them. The water had just finished boiling, and I had a towel to hold the handle with, but I forgot to turn the burner off. The towel caught fire and (being the 7 year old klutz that I was) I dropped it in panic and almost burned the house down.

Fortunately I remembered to smother the flames before anything serious happened^^

Well last year I was staying at my sister's with a freind, Nicky, and I thought I'd be nice and do the tea for me and Nicky. But it ended up I'd put the gammon steak too close to the top and my sisters boyfriend had to open the backdoor to let all the smoke our and as I was taking it out the teatowel caught fire... Luckily the noodles were Fine...

Emma (Jellyoflight) likes this story... I was trying to make porridge, and I'd already heated the milk. But I forgot to turn down the heat, and the pan was way too hot. I poured the porridge in, and I forgot to stir it the whole time, and the porridge hit the bottom of the pan and immediately burned. So these flakey pieces of burned porridge floated back up to the top of the milk, and it looked so nasty. I threw the whole thing out and started over.

Teehee =) Chass is good at telling stories! ^______^ Especially ones that involve her forgetting something which results in something wrong :)

All of the cooking disasters I know of involve my brother cooking.

- He set his potatoes on fire

- He set a toaster on fire

He isn't a pyromaniac, just really stupid.

O.o And your house is still standing...A miracle...(V.I.H.: It's called a fire extinguisher...)

Ooh. It's pretty. :D See all the pretty presents? They can be yours if you vote for me. Yet, none of you know me. T_T How sad. There's no way to get the pretty presents then. :(

Hmm.. well. I wasn't cooking.. but when my brother was fixing chili one night, I told him to put this packet of stuff into the chili b/c it came with the chili mix and ya know.... "why not use it".
So he did.. and it totally made the chili taste funky.
It was just horrible and I felt so bad about it b/c I ruined it :(

Well, this wasn't me, but my dad tried to microwave a chicken and it exploded in the microwave? XD. Don't ask me how, but it was just hilarious.

Er...

Once, I made jello. But, when I was pouring in the cold water, I dropped a spoon in, and didn't want to stick my hands in to get it out.

So, I left it in. Not a big deal, but it was kind of funny.

hmm... I made a cake once, and I took it out, put it on a plate, and everyone was asking me why I made one pancake.

Heh. In kindergarten, I was trying to write a gingerbread men recipe and then my mom said I could try and cook it. My recipe was 9 cups of sugar, 2 sticks of butter, 5 tablespoons of cinnamon, and a cup of flour. I baked it for 9 hours. Yum... those were extremely good, granular, sugary rocks.

Hi.

Oooo..

Once, I exploded an egg in the microwave. That wasn't pretty.

The most disgusting would be when I exchanged water for milk and oil (not completely, just a little bit) in a boxed brownie mix. I baked the brownies in a muffin pan, which was probably a bad move, and they came out as little hockey pucks that were boiled on the bottom and burnt on top.

Hm. Maybe I should try that.

Here's my cooking disaster, don't laugh and point at me,

I burnt spaghetti. And the spaghetti was boiling on the stove. I assume the stove was too hot and it burnt but I have never seen something being boiled burnt.

I can do wonders in the kitchen.

One time me and my friends had decided to go camping and generally just drink way too much alcohol. We had bought some burgers but we had nothing to cook them on. Luckily (or not, what ever) we had bought a saw to cut wood for the fire, we decided to place a burger on there and hold it over the bonfire we had made. Long story short I somehow set my Jeans on fire and the dropped the saw in the fire and the burger flopped onto the floor. We ate it.

fried bread.
vinegar to season it.
putting a second lot on and forgetting vinegar is highly combustable.
two scorched eyebrows and a burnt kitchen later i was enjoying half of my fried bread (the other half having been burnt to a crisp by the fireball)

O.o How amusing and yet strangely saddening at the same time...
