But call one "fat", and you are in for a load of pain.
Tell me about it.. my gym buddy and I after a work out was chilling, and his girlfriend comes up and plomps herself down next to us.
Now my matey is really into the gym and sports so he wanted to innocently get his girl involved so they could do more stuff together... but the next words out his mouth and actions thereforth is something I'll never forget.
He turns to his girl and goes, "I think you should join the gym."
You should have seen her eyes change from brown to grey. She literally flew at him and started attacking him going mental at him for calling her fat. I was like ROFL and peed my pants... well not really... but I was still ROFL.

I think the easiest explanation for administrative powers making your lockers same sex in the 6TH GRADE is the fact that many girls get their first period at that time, and trust me, you do NOT want to share a locker with a girl learning how to handle those small traumas.

I shared a locker with a boy for 3-1/2 years in high school before anyone knew about it. His name was Gale--so, when lockers were assigned, he must have been mistaken for a girl. And we didn't have any problems with it or even knew it was wrong, until one day, I went to my locker and the lock wouldn't open. So, I went to the office to ask why my lock had been changed and got yelled at by the secretary for allowing a boy to share a locker with me. Seems someone saw him and me at the locker at the same time and assumed that we wanted to be locker buddies. Like we were in love or something. Idiots. She sure got flustered when I told her that it was the school's mistake. Was a shame that he had to move out. He was a nice guy and I never, ever had a problem with him. I mean, after all, it wasn't like we were sharing a dorm room or something--just a locker with books and coats and stuff in it. I always kept my "feminine products" in my purse. Much more helpful being right next to your side than stuck in a locker on the other side of the school.

Try explaining that to an irregular 12 year old who probably doesn't carry a purse

Ahh, our school be cheap. We have lockers which we can only access twice a day (at the start of school and at the end) for no more than 3 minutes each time.
So most people don't bother, and carry everything in their bags, like me. Explains why my back hurts at least.
Aaannyway, I didn't make many good friends with girls back in year 6, and I'm seriously regretting it to this day, and I'm in year 9! Be thankful for it mate, seriously.
But that whole 'I'm gay, so what?' thing isn't a good idea. I go to an all blokes school, and if anyone said that, they'd suffer so much from so many people, that homo or not, they'd leave the school for the sake of not getting teased anymore. Gang tactics, it is. My friend at school is hated by about half of the people in the entire school, and their favourite insult is to call him boxhead, seeing as how his head is very squarish.
If he ever gets noticed by a large group of people, they start chanting 'Boxhead.... Boxhead', and eventually, half the freaking school joins in! So if you give people a reason to tease you, it'll either work out really well, and everyone will have a good laugh at it, or it'll wreck your school life.

We didn't have lockers, be thankful, hahah.

I actually left school in the 9th Grade and got my GED to get away from the teasing. Some of the verbal teasing I got was X-Rated, and nothing has ever been done about it.
As for lockers, no one would want to share a locker with me. I used to put bananas and tins of sardines in my locker.

Some schools do not allow this for a few reasons. The bags can clutter up classrooms where the students are, and if space is especially cramped in things like hallways, and in classrooms they can just be a nuisance. Lockers can be built into walls, and sometimes are just a better solution.
Plus, carrying around heavy bags isn't good for your back.

Wait, they're calling you gay for hanging around with girls. If you were homosexual wouldn't you want to hang around with guys you like? 0_o. Try bringing that up to them, then they'll shut up.

I never had a locker until grade 7. i did have one for the short time i was in Windsor during kindergarden though. and our grade seven locker policy was stupid too. the lockers are all in a giant crowd in the middle of the school and we can tchnically only access them before school and after school, though nobody every cared about that rule and went to them all the time

Nah, they'll only be 11 then, periods happen around 12, 13 and 14. Well, first ones, anyway.
My teacher said that we can ask the teacher if I can be locker partners with my girl friends (notice the space?)
