Its always that way, with any change in.. change. Everyone doesn't know where their place is so they act like a bunch of morons.

I know it is sad, but maybe you are just a bit more mature than they are at the moment. That's really all I can say. You can try talking to them, but for now they are going to want to fit in and be like everyone else. Many kids just repeat what they hear other people say and it isn't like they really believe what they are saying deep down inside.

There was a rumor going around that someone at our school in 7th grade (last year) was pregnant. At first I didn't believe it, but my friend knew somebody that was in 7th grade last year and they said it was true and that they knew the girl that was pregnant. D: I mean, there's nothing wrong with having kids, but when you're 13, that's a bit extreme. It would be impossible to be able to take care of it and still go to school. Her mother probably had to take care of it (I bet she was thrilled about it).

I had church this morning, and I saw one of my 7th grade friends there (she was also at the dance), and she said she heard a 6th grader say that they wanted to wear a really short skirt with nothing under it and wear a thong so when they lean over the boys could see their butt. I nearly threw up when she said that. It was just WRONG. :( There were also 6th graders that stuffed their bras with tissues to...well, you get the point.

I did not realise it was that bad... I feel really so upset now... The fact that that persons life is now ruined for the next 18 years probably, and that those people wear short skirts etc.

Hold on, why are there parents letting them do these things!? How do they get around wearing short skirts etc. without anyone doing anything. Parents, teachers, adults? Where are they?

Dude, if a sixth grader tried to push me in the hallway, I'd shove them in a locker someplace. Then again, I'm a senior, so I'd have a bit on them when it comes to height and strength.

Look, you just have to do your own thing. Some of those people will grow up. Others won't. That's just the way it is.

Hmmmmmm. When I was in eigth grade I was in a similar predicament with the seventh graders.. they thought they were above everyone else and the coolest people ever cause they were complete sluts - losing your virginity at 12/13 makes you real cool, alright.

How I reacted - I didn't. I wasn't friends with any of them, didn't have classes with any of them, and was rude back to them if they were rude to me ^_^.

I believe in the whole 'Senior' status thing, because it works well. When I was a senior, and so on for like 3 years back, seniors were loud, yeah, but they had limits, and they respected them. They knew when it was time to hang it up. Because of that they were normally respected by freshmans and 7th graders, because looking like a bigmouth wasn't considered cool.

Nowadays, I see freshman hanging in the back of the bus, shooting off curses, threats, and occassional violent acts, with seniors scowling at them for usurping their well-earned position, after years of minding their own. In my opinion, junior high school should be spent growing up and learning how to handle yourself in high school, not acting like snotty brats who just came out of diapers. I pity them when they become high school freshman. Actually, no I don't, cause I get to be the one shoving them in to cold showers and lockers.

Sixth grade is year 7...

By God, they're getting shorter every year. It's well documented that I'm no giant, standing as I do at a mighty 5'2"; but these kids can't be much more than 4'. I saw some of them walking up the other day, and I honestly found myself wondering if it was some sort of Primary school open day. O_O

Yeah... 6th graders seem to ge shorter every year... o_O I'm not a middleschooler anymore (I'm a freshman), but actually, here, it seems like the class under us is alot pruder than us. Over half of us have had sex or done something sexual, but I have a friend a year under me, and we were at the movies and there was a girl who flashed and he yelled, "I DONT THINK I SHOULD BE WATCHING THIS MOVIE. TELL ME WHEN HER BOOBIES GO AWAY." and covered his eyes. He wasn't doing it to be funny, he was serious about it. I don't think its just him... its all of them in general at my old school.

This generation is quite screwed. they're growing up with gangsta rap and rock, when we grew up in the age of bubblegum pop music. so they're a lot more rude and dirty and such. i really can't connect with anything you're talking about in terms of the sexuality and bullying since i went to an extended french middle school and i go to a gifted high school. Everybody in those schools weren't idiots.

But Etnies are so cool. o_o

Some of the sixth graders were like this when I was in seventh grade. Girls I'd known since I was abour four hated me because I didn't become one of "them". Just remember, though, they're going to be the freshmen that the seniors hate in highschool.

I know. I love etnies shoes, my mom just won't let me get them. She thinks they're too expensive. D: I have a pair of Vans, though. I love them. XD

You can get a normal pair of some Etnies for about $50. Some are even cheaper, I've seen some on sale for $20. The ones I've got were around $60. Pretty damn cheap compared to other shoes (not skater).

$60 shoes are so not cheap. The ones I'm wearing now were $8. Besides dress shoes and boots, none of my shoes have cost over ten dollars. And they tend to last a lot longer than some of the brand names.

And you want to know what shoes I'm wearing now? They look Converse, they smell Converse, but alas- no logo! And because of that no logo, they were $32 cheaper than what the cost was at JC Penny, or wherever I saw them at the mall.

Ridiculous.

i know, im pretty tall, 5 feet 6 inches or more last time i checked, but the 6th graders at our school, im at least a foot or more taller then most of them, sure theres the occasional...growth spurt person who can cleanly look over people's heads... then again, theres this one kid in my 3rd period, he's actually in the same grade as me and im a foot taller then him... kinda creepy
