I type because I'm so much faster on a keyboard. Also, my handwriting has not improved at all since I was 7.

If I'm ever writing drafts, they're all done on paper so I can't really erase anything easily, but for doing best copy, I use the computer.

I almost always use the computer, unless I'm at school or something. I type really badly as it is. I've always wanted to use a typewriter though. Never have. <sad sad>

I write rough drafts by hand and type the final product because my school requires it. Plus, I like doodling on my drafts and I usually end up doing them in school.

I HATE writing by hand, and I make too many typos to use the heavy typwriter reliably (plus the keys are harder to push), but my Portable Typewriter works fine and it's fun. I still like the computer best for writing... especially the laptop, the little "dunt" of the keys is cool.

I hate writing by hand a LOT. x.x It makes my hand hurt if it's too long, and I've got sloppy writing. It's also easier to think when I write things on a computer. It's much faster and easier, and sort of "cleaner."

I've never used a typewriter, though. I also do write by hand if it's something I want to haul around with me, or if it's something I just FEEL like writing by hand. XD

Typewriters - there's a bit of fun in watching the arms whack the paper. I make lots of typos, though.

Calligraphy - because it's pretty and makes me feel like I'm in a fantasy novel.

Sounds familiar
I prefer to write rough drafts by hand, but since I always wait until the last minute , I just type straight in to the computer. It's easier to edit, but I have a tendency to skip over stuff. I can't read too many pages on a computer screen. If it's more than two pages, I'll probably print it out, proofread, then edit in the computer.
