Taco Bell Fire sauce: It's great for cleaning old coins. Takes the buildup right off. It should be noted, though, that this CAN dissolve a penny in under a week. I've done it.

Lysol mildew remover: Either I'm a mold colony myself, or this is garbage. Either way, my tub tiles are still green in between. I'm switching to sulfuric acid.

Any shaving cream: I actually cut my face more with shaving cream than when I just shave with water.

For those of you that have pimples: Again, try duct tape. Think of it as one of those clean strips, in giant form.

Lenor easy iron : I found it does make ironing easier (I hate ironing)

I'm sending all these coca-cola facts to my dad.
He drinks about 5 cans of it per day.
I'll just stick with my pepsi, thank you!

How different can they be?

The only difference between Coke and Pepsi is that Pepsi tastes worse. ;)

Invest in an electrical shaver. Works much better, so far no cuts at all. :)

Coca-cola leaves this ugly brown stuff on my teeth.

The coke did not dissolve the steak, it only made it really really kinda... stringy but not in a tender way.
It did clean battery acid off, but no better then proper soap (for battery acid) and water.
And it did clean off blood; but no better then water.

*shrugs*

Just because people exagerate those myths a little, still do you really want something that clearly has a corrosive affect on flesh in your digestive tract?

I would have to say that the exaggeration is way beyond a little (and I'm not meaning to single you out here, it's just the most recent voicing of that standpoint).

http://www.snopes.com/cokelore/acid.asp

For those who refuse to click, here's the most relevant quotes:

"Coca-Cola's top chemist, Orville May, explained to Hobbs [then president of Coca-Cola] and the company's other executives that anything containing sugar and phosphoric acid — fresh orange juice, for example — would dissolve teeth over a period of time. The point was people did not hold food and beverages in their mouths for days on end. They swallowed, and their saliva washed away the sugar and acid before lasting damage was done. Otherwise the whole country would be toothless."

and

"That you can cook and clean with Coke is relatively meaningless from a safety standpoint — you can use a wide array of common household substances (including water) for the same purposes; that fact alone doesn't necessarily make them dangerous to ingest. Nearly all carbonated soft drinks contain carbonic acid, which is moderately useful for tasks such as removing stains and dissolving rust deposits (although plain soda water is much better for some of these purposes than Coca-Cola or other soft drinks, as it doesn't leave a sticky sugar residue behind). Carbonic acid is relatively weak... Besides, the gastric acid in your stomach is much stronger than any of the acids in Coca-Cola, so the Coca-Cola is harmless."

You should still make with the clicking on the links, though, because it's good to read about the other reasons these urban legends surrounding Coke are false.

Nor does the Clorox Mop.

Oh, I don't agree about the clorox mop. I use it around every other day, and I have yet to find something it can't take away. And I have a dog and two parakeets that are in the places I mop daily.

Maybe it's something about my dog.

Oxyclean, Orange Clean, Quick and Brite = all crap

Nads Hair Removal (the green molasses stuff) hurts like a mother, and the hair doesn't come off evenly.

Oh, and I second the comment about CLR. Love that stuff.

My aunt put CLR on her toilet lid and the hinges on the lid broke right off.

O____________O Oh, my. I better tell my mom not to use that stuff.

For one thing, I don't drink coke. I havn't had a can of actuall coke in over five years. I can't handle caffiene in my system, it's actually very bad for people who have a heart condition (which I do).
So is chocolate.
Nor was I defending it, I was just saying it was exagereated.
I'd give anything to be able to drink coke again. I used to love it and i'd drink a fair bit every day. Two cans.. most likely if not three when I was younger. (No wonder I was hyper all the time.)
And... I have very strong teeth; perfect teeth mind you, and i've never had anything more then a retainer to push a tooth a little to the side and that was only for a month, and caused by a deformity when I was born.
I do have a heart condition, but thats not my fault, I was just born that way.
And I certainly don't have stunted growth. I've ended up at 6'0. Thats more then tall enough for any female.
The myths about coke and caffiene are highly exagerated.

And am I wrong in thinking that your digestive track has a much higher acidity then coke?

o_O Uhh... were the hinges rusted all the way through or something? CLR is supposed to remove calcium, lime, and rust deposits. I suppose if the hinges were metal and extremely rusty, it'd take it right off.

Coca Cola can also clean battery acid off of car engines. :D I witnessed this and decided that Coca Cola wasn't really something I wanted to put through my digestive system no matter how well it will clean it out. :P

I've also heard that it will dissolve a piece of meat (forget how big) in two days, thanks to its high acidity.

*puts Discordant in a tub of Coke*

*flails around* Ah! Ah! The metal bits of my bassoon are corroding! :P

On topic, most of that kind of pet repellent that you can spray on your furniture will stain it, and/or doesn't work too well.
