This is a wholly inappropriate joke and all of you should be ashamed of your sustained flaunting of the rules with disguised smut. Bah!

I don't know many people on this forum here that well, either. But, like others suggested, just try having a friendly conversation with somebody. At the beginning of this school year, I found out my 2 best friends weren't in any of my classes, except for lunch. I was really upset because I didn't know too many people that I was having classes with. But once I started talking to people I sit next to in class, or has a locker nearby me, I actually made lots of new friends this year so far.

Haha. :) I love that story! <3 Actually, it was a story about a gay cheese who learned she did not have to like meat like all the other cheeses and she found a very lovely cracker to spend the rest of her life with.

The ending always gets me teary:

Quote:
Cracker and Cheddar later married and enjoyed a very happy, content life together. They adopted two beautiful children, little Olive and little Crouton, a girl and a boy. The whole family loved each other very much and could very well have been the happiest family in all of Sammich.

*wipes tear*

THAT WAS MY STORY! I requested it :) It made me so happy!

Ginger, joining forum activities is also a good thing. The wonderful wonderful game of Werewolf is what brought me so many friends because they were on my team. And I find that WW gets funner and funner when more people you know play it.

:)

WIS has a point. i have never played WW, but i have participated in a number of NNV games and thats caused me to talk to new people from them most times.

Most of my friends from ppt i've met through pm-ing them (or them me) a couple of times and then swopping msn/aim addresses. and of course, lj is good for getting to know people better that you've spoken to a bit.

i had something else i was going to say.... but i cant for the life of me remember what it is... *thinks* oh yeah, and there are certain persons i know (well one: zorg) because he's my bro, and obviously i know him in r/l.

Yeah... WIS is right. A majority of the people I talk to regularly were met from a Werewolf gam e at some time or another, but it definitely not limited to that. There are a ton of games in there. IF PMing doesn't work, try entering a few. Remember, if you're not directly talking to people (via PM), it may take a while to establish a full conversation with somebody, but chances are it will happen. :)

Just an example, 'Getsu and I met through a Werewolf game back when I was mafia and he was um... I think criminal and we have become serious good friends since then. :) Same with Twizzler and I, only werewolf just made us stronger friends. It's all in how you view your time here... but I have to agree with people that just sitting back and wondering why isn't going to solve the problem, get out there and do things with others if it truly is that important to you.

I met WIS through WW, and now I seem to always be on his team :P . It is actually a great way to get to know people.

I'm feeling really left out of this forum. Wanna know why? Because everyone seems to know when everybody's birthday is and I don't. And people know things about other forumers and I don't. Shoyru Lover knows that someone in the forum is getting married and someone else said that they'd been talking about it for ages but I can't remember seeing any marriage threads or anything. Nothing that has been really talked about on the forum. Is there a chat room or something that you guys go on? I feel like I'm in the dark and not really a member here at all. You know when you're just 'there' and don't fit in and don't really have a personality? You're just that person in the group? Well I feel like that.

Hey Ginger,
Thought I'd better come and explain this one. I'm the one getting married. I've been friends with Yukio for years... in fact, before I even met my fiance. I've not been active the forums for at least six months because I've had to work so much to pay for the wedding.

Of course you are a member of the group. You've been able to post this and manage to get replies that aren't flames. Doesn't that tell you that you are participating in group discussion.

I think everyone goes through this mindset before feeling accepted. I know I did.

Who's bothered if we know everyone's birthdays? I'm not. I can't even remember Yukio's birthday *ducks and covers*, and he's the one I seem to have kept in contact with since I've been on hiatus.

Anyway, I hope you feel better. :)

Ginger, honestly, you could PM SL throwing rocks at him and he'd laugh.

Seriously, I tried it once.

You could probably PM him throwing heavy objects at him (piano, brick, flat screen tv, old computer monitor..) and he'd probably take them and run off cackling to Ebay.

For people who claim there's a "clique", I beg the question:

Have you ever tried CONTACTING any of them and starting friendly conversation? Because if you bothered to, you'd realize that it isn't so much a clique as a giant blob of people who are chummy, and who introduce people they've met to one another. Don't look at things with the attitude that it's a closed door. So many people on this forum are willing to make friends, if only people would approach them.

I, for one, LOVE being randomly contacted by people (unless it's a ransom note, of course). If anybody feels like it, just PM or IM me. :D
