Well, fairly simple question, do you sing in the shower?
I do, and I sound pretty damn good even if I do say so myself. Unfortuantely when I get out of the shower, I do not sound good. Gah. I've noticed I tend to sing "Smooth" by Santana a lot, and anything by R.E.M. How very odd.
I sing "Smooth" when I'm in the shower, too, and I also sound a lot better in the shower than I do when I'm not. I believe the reason one generally sounds better singing in the shower is because your voice echoes off the walls, and the sound of the water running blocks out any off-keyness.
I love singing in the shower, though. Sometimes, when I'm home alone, I bring my radio into the bathroom and plug it in, so I can sing along when I'm taking my shower. It's quite fun really, it proves to make the long, tedious process of bathing go much quicker. ^_^ I usually sing the songs with the really high notes and the places where you have to "belt it". That way, I know when I'm
definitely not hitting the notes correctly, because I can tell it sounds awful even over the water.
I love to sing songs like "This One's for the Girls", (Martina Mcbride) "Believe", (Cher) "Torn", (Natalie Imbruglia) "One", (Faith Hill) and "Something to Talk About" (Bonnie Raitt.) Practicing the high notes is fun.
