I put it in the computer.
It said it would pop up saying windows has found new hardware but it didn't.
I went to install anyways and it said I didn't have the required hardware...
Another thing...
THERE WAS NO VIDEO CARD IN MY COMPUTER AT ALL!

I really need help A.S.A.P.
Please post....

First of all, if you didn't have a video adapter in your computer, your PC wouldn't even be booting to give you those errors.

When it a window pops up saying that your operating system detected new hardware, then it did detect new hardware. In order to make the device work, you need to install the drivers. Otherwise, the device will not function properly.

I put it in the correct way...
I am possitive.
It just wont work.

Anyone know how to fix this? Any help would be appreciated. :)

It's because you're using a 256 color indexed GIF without dithering. Use PNG True Color for best quality, or turn on dithering for GIF (if you're given the choice, changing the palette from Optimized to Detail may do good as well).

Alright, now I got the error here!

The file [LOCATION OF FILE] cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again.

You're missing a codec (things which decode information from the file into what you see/hear). Do you have DivX (http://www.divx.com ) installed?

You might want to install something like http://www.softpedia.com/public/cat/11/ ... 2-12.shtml -- I've no idea if that particular one works (the link is just an example).

Yes, so you'll need to download and install the codec.

So you physically put in a video adapter and attached the monitor to the card. You're able to boot into windows. Did you even attempt to install the drivers for the graphics card?

If the monitor won't even work, you can't tell if you're booting into Windows or not. Or does the monitor not work when it boots to Windows?

i need help with my computer: we just got it today (it was used by my aunt for less then a year) It has a bigger screen then the old one but everything shows up so small, I know how to change text size but when I play games it is too small, my buddy list (i have aol 8.00) is also really small (and every other part of aol), pictures also show up too small(like my avatar) does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this? (in case this helps i have windows xp pro) Thanks!

Change the screen size? I think the default windows xp size is 1280 x 1024. Go to your desktop, left click for properties, go to settings, and lower the screen resolution.

You said plug the monitor into the graphics card.
That doesn't work.
It works in the regular spot, just only in 16 colours.

The absolute default of Windows XP is 800x600. The operating system automatically adjusts when a monitor is changed, and it immediately recognizes the monitor.

So there was another graphics adapter before you installed the Stealth S80. You probably say there wasn't another video card in there because the old video adapter is integrated into the motherboard. When you plugged it into the S80, absolutely nothing came up on boot? If you use the integrated video, you can access the BIOS and change the video adapter slot from AGP to PCI. After that, you can try using the Stealth card.
