Igg, I'm not quite sure. I think it was a combination of not bothering to pay attention to what I was doing when I tied it, not being bothered to redo it when it came out shorter than I wanted, and my shirt being untucked and rather long. =P

That's about how long I generally wear my tie, though it tends to look rather shorter as my shirt is so long. But now I'm gonna be paranoid about the length, I usually don't think about it. =P

Judging length is easy. Just put the wide end on the right and down to the top of your kneecap, start the knot between the first and second buttons on your shirt from the top (not counting collar), and tie a half-windsor.
