I would imagine some trickery with leap-years and mid-night births is at fault there.
Without attaching any calendars or time-measurements, if Rune was born first, Rune is automatically older. Therefore something occured when registering birthdates.

Rune was borned first, then crawled back in, and Arrow was born. After that, the mum spent 2 days trying to lure Rune out!

No, it has nothing to do with alternate calanders, crawling back in, being chickens and hiding in a egg(they are both human), time travle or anything like that.
