Hm...my username is SO very hard to pronounce...

Aw (As in Hockey without the "h" and the "key") tum (As in...tummy) - ele (As in "elephant" or "bell" or the basic letter L) fuh (No not fuh as in fudge but fuh as in...um...)

And that ends our basic english lesson for today :)

I don't normally pronounce out people's usernames but for those that I do...

Jellyoflight - Ahem, yes, I like to think of it as Jelly-o-flight...
Qanda - Oh why does it have to be "can-da"? Isn't it much easier to just change your username to "Quanda"?
Silja - Sill-jah...it IS what it looks like, after all.
Ammer - Hm, might be me, but I think it sounds better as Ammer rhymes with Hammer.
Naniwai - Naw? NAW? Doesn't Nah sound better?

no-l or no-elle but in other words if you can't say it. You have speach problems. See. French isn't that hard. But thats how you spell it as my middle name. In the french it is sapose to be Noel but I wont go there.

White Wolf.

White as in the colour. Wolf as in the animal. Simple. (Hopefully) :P

hyper flutter by

The most common mistake I get is people call me hyperbutterfly, while butterfly is the source word for that part of my name, I just plain like how flutterby sounds better. But I don't mind the mistake as long as I know you're talking to me. ^.^

Funnily enough I've always had trouble saying Dawn and it always sounds like I'm swearing, saying Dan, or Dajun.

Naw-nee-why? I always pronounced it as nah-nee-why.

Hehe, it bugs me when people say that. It makes me sound like someone's grandmother. :P

Then again, I've always wanted to say your name with a U in it, so it evens out.

AutumnElf wrote:Naniwai - Naw? NAW? Doesn't Nah sound better?

Yes, if you pronounce it with a long A sound (as in car), the pronunciation could be spelled "nah". But with an a as in "can", it's incorrect.

I think the correct pronouciation requires a Boston accent. I can understand it, but then again I have that accent (at least a little).

Here's some links to Boston's unique langauge system:

A brief sound bite of the accent complete with local references.

Ya know... For a while I read your name as "Ex Jox" (like.. rhymes with 'X Box' =P) And then one day I just looked at it and figured it out.
