Once upon a time, long long ago...
Jen was a Grade 6 Canadian. She took science and missed the lesson on certain parts of the humans and got assigned it for homework. She then went home and asked her 18 year old brother about it infront of his friends. He didn't like Jen very much for about a year after that,
Finally, they got along again, and lived happily ever after.

Grade 6 American says you'll probably study atoms.

I'm in 12th grade at the moment and I seem to remember learning about ecosystems and stuff for science in 6th grade. Of course I'm American though. :P

I remember in grade six, we've studied the subject light, then we each had to reserch something about light. Most people picked rainbows, I picked Photosynthesis. O.o

Good Old Grade . *pats his school*

You're in the public system, so I'm betting you go to one of the Dufferin Peel Schools. I believe you'll be studying some Space too. Nothing to heavy buddy. Don't sweat it. ;)

Ahh, Bawls brings up good point: Grade 5 > Grade 11.

(haha, Too many Bramptonians on PPT )

My teacher just e-mailed me saying we're going to learn about puberty. Yucky.

Grade 6 American here is all about earth science. Lots and lots of earthquakes and volcanoes.

*shakes Holly* Earthquake!!! Oh...sorry.

The only thing I remember doing in grade 6 that had to do with science was those stupid bug collection things. Don't really remember anything else.

I'm pretty sure the grade 5 cirriculum in a Vancouver private school is different from a Brampton public school, but anyway, I'm pretty sure it went along the lines of the human body (sex ed- the most frustrating thing to go through cause everyone keeps laughing and can't take notes- was gonna be included, but the schedule ran short- we studied it in grade 6 and 7 instead), weather, earth science (especially volcanoes), "grossology", and a bunch of other insignificant stuff that I can't remember.

Ah, I wish I was in grade 5 again. :( Grade 10 and its new cirriculum here sucks.

Ditto.

For us, Sex Ed is called 'Health' and you have to take it for a quarter of the year. They teach you the same exact thing in illicit detail every single year, and it's really boring the second, third, fourth, and fifth times around.

I saw that. Not in Grade 6 or 5 but in Grade 9. It was very gross. I was closing my eyes through it, it was really gross.
