I'm sure lots of people have done it. Listened to their own voice from a recording. I've done it plenty of times. So what do you sound like? People have said that your voice sounds different when you actually speak and hear yourself normally and that to other people, you sound very different.

Anyway, I'm 19 but don't sound it. I have a kids voice still. It's quite high and my Birmingham accent really stands out. I also slur a bit. People sometimes say that my voice comes across as a bit muffled and when I hear myself on a recording I can see why.

My voice can sometimes be a little bit drone-y I think. Other than that, I can sometimes slip in and out of accents, Australian (AustRAlian, every so often a word will slip out and it'll sound something like Steve Irwin (sp?)), Kiwi (I used to notice this, sometimes when I say "fish" there is an ever so small sound like "fush") and American (spending way too much time with American exchange students I've started to sound like them).

I hate listening to my voice. Even just hearing myself talk normally I don't like much now, I sound so out of place. =P

Well, according to the people I have voice chatted and talked on the phone with, I sound 'cute' and 'little' and like a 'chipmunk on helium'. :P I don't think I do though, I think I sound like most of the other girls my age, for the most part. Except for when I'm hyper, maybe (which is... a lot) and then I think it might get a little higher, just cause I'm all perky and overly energetic. :D

I think I sound like a bloke.

Unfortunately so do my relatives, who mistake me for my brother.

My voice is a little deep to me =P

But when I listen to a recording, it's higher and sounds very little-girlish ...

One time I recorded myself, and it sounds so bad, that I never did it again.
My voice can vary depending on who i'm talking to ( teachers vs parents), and language i'm speaking ( hebrew vs english).

According to my voice recordings, I sound like a lot of saliva. o_0

When I'm talking, it sounds like I have a higher pitched voice than I really do and it seems like I'm talking at a normal rate. When I actually hear myself talking, I have a deeper voice (which does sound exactly like my brother... well moreso he sounds like me) and I talk very fast.

I hate hearing myself talk. o_o Sometimes I feel sorry for the people that have to listen to me talk. Good thing that's not all that often.

Well, I haven't heard a recording of my voice since I was 10, and back then it sounded higher than my current one would if I was hit in that area. With a large, large brick.

I like my voice the way I hear it, but I hate hearing my voice on recordings, I sound so weird, kinda posh. :S Just the way I pronounce certain words, which I don't notice when I'm speaking.

I can't stand listening to my voice. Whenver I do my ears threaten to leap off of my head. X_X I think I sound like a guy. Everyone says I sound like my mom though, but that can't be! My mom has a nice voice...I don't.

Listening to my voice on a recording makes me want to just turn it off. Ugh. It sounds so high. I like the way I hear it better.

I don't think most people like recordings of thier voice... judging by these people.
