Can you make your own food to a satisfactory (non-dieing) degree and do you like to do so? Would you prefer someone else to do it for you? What do you think?

I can cook to a degree, mainly rice and curry meals.

Let's just say I wouldn't starve to death if I was left to my own devices. I prefer others to cook for me only if they're a better chef than I.

I can cook, so long as I have a recipe. If I wing it, death ensues.

I signed in to my account at 11:03 pm on Mon Jan 05, 2009. My last visit beforehand was Thu Dec 01, 2005 at 10:26 pm. Um....wow.

Hehe, same here. I can't even cook instant noodles or eggs by myself. Only thing I can do are cup noodles, and uhh...pancake mixes.

I don't mind people cooking for me but I'll do it myself if no-one else is, I can cook pretty much whatever, I love frying things, thats what I'm best at, hamburgers, eggs, eggs in a basket, fried eggs, omellete...I'm motsly good at eggs. But I can do anything as long as I have a recipe.

I follow directions pretty well, so I can make pretty much anything if I have a recipe. I have to have specifics, I get really freaked out about eyeballing amounts of ingredients or cooking times, out of fear that I'll ruin it.

I can cook if I have directions to read from. I took a cooking class last year, and my group (we were all split into teams) came out with some of the best meals. We once made a Mickey Mouse cake.

Hurrah for most things!

I tend to eyeball things. Heh. But yeah, if there's a recipe, I'm usually fine.

I can't make full meals or anything of the sort, but individual serving things seem to turn out fine. And desserts.

I have to cook, the whole thing with being on your own :(, having to feed other people now... except for when the husband was still here, he use to do most of the cooking, and I would occasionally, so it was pretty easy making a couple things I knew over again in between without it being a yuck.

I can cook, but I don't like to, I think it's boring.

I can cook pretty well. I have to be able to, I'm doing a hospitality course at school and I spend half the time cooking - and we have paying customers :P

Mom taught me the basics so that I would not starve if I'm at home alone. But I think I could follow from a recipe too.

I can cook pretty well. My favorite thing to make is chicken in a frying pan. It sounds simple, but you have to be very precise- if you leave it in too short of a time, it will be too dry. If you leave it in too long, it will burn. So the goal is to cook the chicken until there's no pink on any part of it, and you'll get hot, juicy chicken. :)
