A long time ago, I know I posted a job help topic. This ones different.


Ok, there's a place hiring and I'm 99% sure I could get a job there. I have a friend that wants to apply there too.
Anyways, how do I tell my parents I want to work there? I've never had a job before. I don't think it woul dbe a problem, other than getting a drive. We live out of town, and it would be about half an hour drive total.

So, how do I ask my parents if I can apply and if they can drive me?

They should allow you to apply there, especially if you're 16 or older, or close to 16 anyway. If they don't like the thought of driving you, tell them the money you'll earn will go towards a car of your own.

Unless you're only 14 or recently turned 15, I don't see why your parents wouldn't let you apply. Even if they don't let you, showing interest in a job proves to them that you are responsable.

Yeah, just say, "Hey, I think I'm ready to become a responsible contributing member of our society, rather than a weight pulling you and everything you hold dear closer to economic downfall."

Hmm.. Maybe a bit overkill but it probably would work.
