anyone here, besides me, of course, play M:TG? If you don't, do.

This is a trading card game developed by Wizards of the Coast. From it has spawned... every TCG ever. Including Neopets. It even went back in time in an effort to spawn bubblegum cards.

That's that card game, right?

I've never played it, nor do I have any interest in doing so, but I've seen a large group of people who've played it on several occasions at a table at the high school I attended.

I run The Infinity Program, a den of villains and swashbucklers.

Oh, I see!

I've seen those cards' layouts used for parody at another forum I frequent.

Have any of the Ravnica decks? I'm currently in the process of adding to a Boros deck...

By the way, an alternate rule called "Mana Drop" is quite good with it. Basically, whenever you play a land, you draw a card. You may play as many lands per turn as you wish.
The land Boros Garrison forces you to return a land to your hand to play it, so if you have two, you can simply use them to draw out your entire deck.

Edit: Go here.

Yep, I've got a ton of them. :P Been playing for a couple of years now. It's easily the most strategic of the card games that have been created

(though I wouldn't have been caught dead playing it at first). I wouldn't say I'm that good (as I would never go to a tournament anyway), but

apparently I'm one of the few people around this area that know both the new/old rules and I have to end up correcting people when players from

the older blocks that try to start playing again don't understand how Equipment works (even though they've been out for while now) and tell

newbies that there are rules that have been around for a long time that they need to learn. Yeesh. x_x

Anyway, I just made a pretty good Black/Blue Ravnica deck (though it's almost the same as one my friend decided to make) and a Green/White

(mostly Ravnica) token deck that hasn't lost yet. :P Having an onslaught of tokens that have protection from all colours is great.

I find myself playing things to cause confusion rather than trying to win (I find more fun in annoying my opponent rather than winning, though both

can easily come hand-in-hand). My friend has a Black discard/destroy deck which is basically his staple. It really is difficult to beat if you aren't copying from the best players. :P

Edit - Ew, long URL. :P

I used to. Then I got swamped by expansions, I couldn't really follow before, and with more and more expansions rolling in, I quit. Again, I probably lost interest too by then.

From around Ice Age, I think.

Black/Red/Green Dragons.

Gotta love the idea of all that mana acelleration then using a Djinni illuminatis and Dark Rituals to create an unstoppable Dragon Storm.

Wonder how many Dragon legends i can chuck in there... o_O
