My brother passed his driving test today! I'm so happy for him! He passed first time and only 14% of the UK's population only pass first time. Gosh, I'm so happy for him! My jaws are aching from smiling too much!

You would think that Europeans would be better drivers than Americans due to the difficulty of the tests in Europe. So far, I haven't seen anything to convince me of that. I hope your brother is better than the drivers on this side of the Atlantic.

PAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I think the difficulty of the tests must make our drivers more complacent or something. Like you can only really break the rules if you know how to follow them.
Have you SEEN the way Italians drive? I nearly got run over by a police car in Sicily. it wasn't a high-speed chase or owt, they were just going for coffee.

Italians? I've never seen Italians drive, but the French are crazy. If you cross the street, they won't stop for you, they'll try and run you over. And the cars will get within a few inches of the charter buses. I thought US traffic was bad, sheesh!

Anyways, congrats on your brother passing the test.

Congrats to your brother...you also reminded me that I should get around to doing my road test.

That's right, I'm soon to be 20 in a month, and I still only have a learners...but that's only because when I think of it, everything I need is in walking distance...

So, why pay for a car, and gas, when I could just walk to where I want to go!!

That's awesome! It'd be pretty cool to fall under that statistic.

I need to apply to driving school anyways, must get my license quickly.

Bill Bryson was totally right when he said the only way to cross a road in the centre of Florence (might have been Rome but same applies for both) is to attach yourself to a group off passing nuns. They won't hit nuns.

Congratulations to your brother ;) I would love to take Driver's Ed but it costs $200-$300 if I want to take lessons right now to get the permit, then the license.. But I'll just wait until I'm 18 :D

Well, I hope things are well with your bro and remind him to drive safely!! Have fun!
