Alright, I'm really kind of creeped out.

I live in an apartment, and yesterday I got a new neighbor. No more vacant space beside me. Yay, right? Wrong.

She's a 50 year old lady who murdered her best friend with a meat cleaver a few years ago, and attacked her husband with the same knife. Then, her best friends husband tried to stop her, and she ended up chasing him around the yard with it and cut him pretty good too. It took either 4 or 5 grown men to stop her. Thats scary enough, but apparently she had just been going over to her friends house so they could go shopping together. She went to jail over it for a few years, but since she was 'insane' at the time, she got off easy.
Not only that, she's a complete psyche pot. I talked to her yesterday because we were doing laundry at the same time. We were talking about a nice quilt she was washing, and out of no where she slammed my washing machine lid, dropped her laundry and went into a full out rant about how the Nazi's were right, and how if she was given the chance she would do the exact same thing Hitler was doing. She got louder and louder, almost shouting and showing me (demonstrating on my neck), how to kill people with your bare hands. After about 20 minutes of her just going on and on and me being scared out of my mind, she picked up her laundry, opened my washer lid, and was perfectly normal, picking up where she left off about the quilt. Needless to say, I was scared out of my mind.

Ok, so I thought I would just ignore her, but she's just sitting outside her appartment at the moment, so I can't really do anything without having to talk to her.
So, this lady scares the living bageebers out of me. Is there anything that can be done about it? Like... Is that enough of a reason to make a complaint? Because she is probably the scariest person I've met in my life.

Umm ya I would file an anonnymous complaint or something. Or maybe try to get moved to a different room and make up some reason for it. She sounds pretty nuts though.

Yeah, talk to your landlord about this. You were there first, and the fact that
she did this:

is plenty to file a complaint.

This woman should be in a mental institution. What I dont understand is how the psychiatrists and the like, lock up young people and ram all sorts of medicines down their throats for depression, when there are schizophrenics who are far more dangerous to other people, on the street. And not only would it be safe for other people if she were locked up, but it would be safe for her too. She would have people, good kind people, to care for her illness. What the heck are they doing letting her go through life on her own where she obviously has no control over herself?

In the meantime, I would advise you to file a complaint against her, because she is dangerous. If you explain to them exactly what she did, and explain about her ramblings about the Nazis and Hitler, they should realise that she is insane and actually do something about this. Good luck with it and I am sorry that you had to face her.

The person who decided to let her go free was insane.

Wow, I think I wet myself reading that. That was HILARIOUS.

As for this crazy old lady, I'd report her based on those incidents (Nazi, her teaching you how to kill someone). But remember, don't let her find out, or she'll murder you. Therefore, I suggest sleeping with a knife under your pillow.

I'd be sure you're with someone and armed whenever you have to go near her. Make sure it's not obvious to her why you have a friend and hide whatever your weapon is to ensure that she won't flip out over that. Still, get her out of there. Even one threat is a threat too many and it's certainly not a playful 'just kidding' sort of thing this time.

Thanks for the replies guys!

I've gotten a temporary room mate until something is done with her. She's just as scary as ever, and she's taken to sitting outsider her apartment on a chair, chatting to whoever happens to go by. And acting like your in a rush works pretty good, until when you're going in. Then she's got you...

Had a few more conversations with her, and since that, I've filed a complaint.

Thanks guys!
