Read a book. I'm working my way through Terry Pratchett's discworld books in event-chronological order.

sometimes I like to go to craft stores and get one of those kits designed for kids, like paint by numbers, how to knit, or pottery kits, and just play with that for a while.

If you're into games, try one that you haven't played in awhile. Works for me. Also try watching new TV shows, or even figure out when good shows you watched as a kid are on. The latter can be really fun to see exactly how many jokes you didn't get when you were younger. :P

I learn stuff. :P

Also, if you want to pass a couple of hours, learn a musical by heart and then sing either aloud or in your head. I've got Rent, Wicked, and Avenue Q (along with a lot of songs from other musicals that I've not yet memorized).

Excellent Plan. I would advise buying a copy of the disworld map for referance.

It all depends on how far your tech tree is.

If you still have the old gameboy tucked away somewhere, replay the pokemon games!

I do that almost every summer holiday, it's great when you haven't played for a while.

If you have Firefox, download the StumbleUpon! extension, register, and stumble. That thing is great for passing the time as well as finding new cool sites.

I write songs or go see my band and create music.

Writting is an awesome way to get unbored in my opinion.

Dance the Mexican Hat Dance under the next full moon, or you will be cursed with boredom FOREVER.

...or uh, maybe follow the suggestions given here. When I'm bored I draw, but I don't know if you're an artist or not, so yeah.

You have not experienced boredom until you've sat in an exam hall doing nothing for 135 minutes.
