So xP Do you think thumbs qualify as fingers or not?

For the most part I'm not pedantic enough about labels to demand all the time that I have 4 fingers (or 8 ) and a thumb (or 2). That being said, if someone actually asks me sometimes I'll qualify with both answers.

You know in Spanish this question just doesn't have the same effect.

Oops I voted wrong - in general it is 4 fingers and one thumb, but if it was how many fungers am I holding up I'd say 5

Well I call my index finger my second finger, so I guess my thumb is my first? Or something >_<.

However I think that game/trick is immensely puerile and stupid; even at my high level of pedanticism.

I can do anything with my thumb that I can do with my fingers, so it counts as a finger.

Five fingers. Even if my mom makes cracks about only having four fingers...

I think of my thumb as a "disabled" finger, because it's smaller and has one joint less than the others, but it can still do most things other fingers do.

Finger is a funny word. The more I look at it the odder it gets.

"You know, they call them fingers but I never see them fing....Oh wait, there they go."

Four and one thumb. It is not a finger, because it has less joints than a finger.
