This is getting really annoying... anyways, whenever I sign on at AIM, it stays as "1.Connecting.." and doesn't do a thing after! Then, whenever I sign onto MSN, it stays as "Signing on...." with the two figures spinning around above it without ever actually signing me on! Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it?

I always have the problem with MSN. What I do is I go to 'File > Cancel Sign In' and keep trying to sign in until I actually do.

I've been trying to sign in a lot and it never seems to work. About how many tries does it usually take you until you're in?

It's taken me anywhere from 1 time to 6 or 7 times, though that hasn't happened in a couple of weeks. Do you have the latest version of MSN?

Recently, AIM has been a bit of a resource hogger.

I have that problem sometimes as well. It seems to go away if I reboot, though. Have you tried that yet?

Well, this is very unlikely, but.. if you're connected to a router.. then the Admin might be blocking port 5190 and the MSN port..

Ummm.. its been a while since i've been to ppt.. and no I don't play neopets anymore.. since 2004

It happened to me some times, but I cancelked the sign-in, and restart again. Or I wait one jour without MSn, I can survive.

That kinda makes sense, because I'm connected to a router... What do I need to do to unblock it?

look up the phone number of the company of your router (Most of them have a toll free support number), they should have a patch to download to allow msn or other support help for it, That's what we had to do for my Dads router to let him use msn properly.

If you can gain control of the router, you can point to your computer as the DMZ server, or tinker with your Port Forwarding settings.

Eh, not very sure but I think the router address is something like http://192.168.1.192 it probably varies from router to router..
