I saw this a couple of days ago and it struck me as the most unbelievable nincompoopery in quite some time. We generally use notes more than coins these days, and EFTPOS transactions are overtaking notes. Why then would going back to HUGE hard currency work?

In any case the currency of space will be whatever it is in the station or buildings home country. I really don't find the prospect of having to buy some 'spacebucks' appealing...It's like Funbucks at a themepark...

... I think we should get off our butts and actually do something more than sit in a half built space station that's showing it's age before we start this tomfoolery.
Of course if Congress has anything to do with it we will never see so much as Mars and we'll die a sad lonely death on this stupid rock anyway.
