I guess I should put up or shut up if I am going to critique other sites.
Anime CastleMy favorite site for DVDs, graphic novels, light novels, merchandise, posters and wallscrolls. They also have a wide selection of other items as well. All of the book prices are pretty good, cheaper than in-store/marked prices by US$2. Most other stuff is discounted too. The selection is outstanding since they normally have series that other places do not. There are over a dozen new series that I have started this year alone that I first saw here before at other sites. Pre-orders are good since they announce items a long time in advance and don't charge until it comes in. Shipping price is a bit of sticky wicket since they charge by weight, but I have found it worth it to get something small extra and still keep the price low. If you get the order in by about 1-2PM Eastern Time, then they usually ship by the end of the day. Most people I know love and use the site.
Twin Moons AnimeOne of the best US sites for figures. All are nicely discounted (US$10-30 on average), and you can find a ton of different series. Pre-orders are usually announced several months in advance. They don't bill until the product comes in (with no be shipping damages). You always get a fast response from Tamin and the crew there. They ship right away once the product is in. If there is any issue, Tamin and the crew are very friendly and can help.
Those are my main two sources for products. I also go to Gamers in LA whenever I can. I also know a good doujinshi site that ships to the US, but I don't have the URL on me right now (shipping rates are killer though so I never buy).
