I remember middle school dances and the first time I ever danced with a boy. I was so nervous and everything. No one ever had dates though. Just remember to relax and have fun and not worry about it.

Edit: Then again... Who am I to talk I totally freaked out at my first dance in 5th grade. I was going to dance with one of the guys I liked but he had to leave early and wait for his parents in the hallway. So when I went to go dance with him. I freaked out cuz it was just him, me and his sister in the empty hallway. So I said I can't do this and went back upstairs. Totally embarrassing.

I love soccer guys.

Yeah, thats seems to be how most people feel. I personally haven't experienced the feeling yet but I most likely will within the next 2 years. I say, get a lot of sleep and if you play them, go play some videogames. That always helps me get my mind off stuff.

Heh, it's middle school, and chances are she's feeling just as nervous as you. :P Just play it cool. Be confident and act casual. If you don't make a big deal out of it, it won't become a big deal. It's that simple. :) As for where to meet her, give her a call or contact her on AIM or MSN or something and work out all of those details.

Relax, it'll be fine. If you mess up, then hey, don't worry about it! Just laugh and act as if nothing happened. Besides, there will be more dances. *nods* :)

In Middle School, we never had dates to the dance but you couldn't catch me dancing without a girl :P It might be nervewrecking but listen to music, go to sleep, do anything which is amusing to you. That'll help you take your mind off it.

As for meeting her, as Apricus said, call her or talk to her on MSN, AIM, YIM etc... to figure out where and when to meet.

Just chill. Tell yourself that you're going to have lots of fun at the dance. Like what Apricus said, try not to make a big deal out of it. If anything goes wrong, just shrug it off and laugh. ^_^ Nobody is expecting you to be perfect on that night.

Yea...my first boyfriend and I broke up because we were so nervous we couldn't talk to each other anymore. xD I completely blew him off. He's still a great friend, though.

At our dances, people throw popcorn during the slow dances. Don't do that, it's annoying.

Easy for you to say.

My middle school didn't really have dances where you took your date, it was more of a 'Let's waste the taxpayer's money by investing two hours of valuable class time so the students can listen to bad music and get in trouble for dancing too close' time. (As obvious, middle school was not my favorite two years of my life.)

Don't worry about it. It is just middle school! I'm sure everything will be fine, and even if something does go wrong, there's always high school to retailiate. Or whatever you feel like doing. It's not as scary as it seems, once the time comes.

Oh, and if you intend on throwing things during any slow songs, might I suggest doing it when they play Usher's "You Got It Bad," the most overused middle school dance song EVER.
