i am not sure weather this is the right board.. but i want to get my partner a phone for christmas and i know he wants a nokia but i can't rememmber the nokia he wants .. all i can rememmber is that it lights up on the side of the phone when it rings lol anyone know what kind of nokia it is ??

Try going to their site, nokia.com and checking out the phones. Have you seen it? If you have then you might recall it if you see it online. I'm going to say it's probably an accessory you buy for the phone though. I know Nokia's have to be like the phones with the most customizable things out there, you can get tons of cases for them and all the cool light up batteries, antenas, buttons etc. The ones I've seen which seem to be the most popular is the flashing batteries, they have lights that do patterns when you are talking on the phone.

yeah i have tried to find it i think it has only just been relised not to sure if i can't find it i'll get him a diffrent one.. i don't really care for nokias to me a phone is a phone as long as i can make a call or write text messages i am happy

Personally I believe Sprint has the best designs phone wise, verizon comes second. I mean, they aren't the makers of the phones, but if you are going to get a service plan some only work with the phones they provide etc...Nokia phones are a pain in the tush sometimes. Nokia only works with Nokia products. If you get a headset for it, it has to be the same brand, unlike some other phones were you can have an LG phone and use a Sony headset. This can be a disadvantage for Nokias because you might find a neat headset that has the features you want but it's not a Nokia and therefore not compatible.

I've had this one before, I don't remember if it lights up when it rings but I know the sides do light up...just plain white though. I can test it out later if I remember and let you know.
